If you know anything about my daughter, it's that she is totally a shoe girl. I don't know where she gets it; but one of the quickest ways to her heart is a new pair of shoes.
As soon as I showed her the box See Kai Run sent, she was excited:
Please excuse her outfit...have I mentioned the potty-training? And, apparently, her daycare likes to make her extra tacky! She knew exactly what they were. "Shoes, mommy!" And she snatched them right up out of the box.
And immediately opened the velcro...
Oh, and please excuse the black-eye, too! Gotta love daycare. It was a rough week. Tug of war should not be played with hard, plastic toys.and had to try them on.
(Daddy snapped the pictures...I wanted you to see her wearing the shoes, too, but I think you get the idea!)
And, she has wanted to wear them every day since. Even on the day it snowed. I had to convince her they were shoes for in the house only for right now. Why? Because we selected these adorable Dorothy sandals and it just isn't warm enough to wear them yet.
Isabelle has had "owie" shoes before, and she proclaimed that these were good. She said they fit just right. The See Kai Run shoes are so soft. There are no rough edges to rub their little heels or toes at the opening. And, the soles are soft and flexible, too; not like baby shoes, but enough so they can really get a grip on the ground.
These shoes seemed to run very true to size. Isabelle typically wears a 7.5 in some shoes, so I ordered her an 8 and they are just a little big, which is perfect for when Spring gets here. I can't wait to see my little girl wearing her church dresses with these adorable shoes this Spring.
It was so hard to pick out a shoe, too. They were all so cute. I wanted to get her one of every pair. Their new Spring line is precious and they have some of their other shoes marked down 25% off.
In addition to See Kai Run they also have Smaller shoes for babies and Eleven shoes for older kids. From their site:
Our designs are sophisticated and classic with modern twists sprinkled throughout. And most importantly, our shoes are healthy for developing feet. The soles are made of extremely flexible rubber which is great for outdoor use while allowing the foot to flex in all the right places. They're also made of butter soft leather with a breathable leather lining and padded collars for comfort. Finally, See Kai Run shoes are easy to get on and off with Velcro closures that ensure a great fit.Like they say, "Every journey begins with the first step." Join us in celebrating those first steps!
