I called my mom yesterday to ask her (yes, 5 days before the fact) what she wanted for Mother's Day.
She told me clothes. I laughed.
I told her I haven't bought clothes for myself in a really long time...I'm not buying her clothes.
She couldn't come up with anything else.
While at Bible study last night, she called Mr. Serious.
She told him what she really wants for Mother's Day is a new antenna ball for her car.

Apparently, she's gone through a couple (a bass, a Jack-in-the-Box, and some cherries or something). She said she's had one stolen (because apparently, they are a hot commodity on the black market) and lost one to some low branches.
So, her wish is for a new fancy peachy car antenna topper!
When she told hubby, she predicted two responses. And she was right.
1. Laughter (and lots of it).
2. Followed by me saying "where the hell am I going to find one of those?"
And, they happened in that order. But, I bet she didn't predict I would blog about it!
Why did she say she so desperately needs one of these bad boys?
"Because I can't find my car at the grocery store without it"
She didn't predict the laughter eruption from that comment. Besides, doesn't she know that is what the PANIC button is for? (I know it's not really for that, but tell me you haven't done it at least once!)
I'm thinking this might be a better replacement.
Who doesn't want a hot dog holding onto their car antennae for dear life?
Now excuse me while I go purchase a silly peach car antenna topper. Happy early Mother's Day mom!

How funny….I never thought of getting an antenna topper for that reason….uhmmmm…that might work. Maybe I will asked my kids for the same thing….thank your mom for the idea. LOL

Well that sounds easy enough! I can’t even get my mom to tell me what she wants…granted, I’ve never really asked.
Ha Ha Ha! Of all the things to want for Mother’s Day. You better order a couple of extras incase it is attached by a branch again! I think she needs the hot dog one too!
