Growing up, we didn’t have a computer or even video games. Nothing of the sort, so I never would have dreamed that my daughter would have access to educational computer games (it helps that we recently purchased a new computer for Krizzy Designs so this one is available for Izzy).
Jumpstart has created a beta version of a browser-based virtual world geared for kids ages 3-10. They create their own Jumpeez and explore magical worlds with a news stand, story land and more. While playing the games, they unlock new games, videos and stories that teach math, reading and more.
Serious Tested:
Isabelle is not quite 3 (October), but she very quickly got the idea of the game. She kept telling us what she wanted to do and where she wanted to go. The problem she had, is she didn’t really connect moving the mouse with the way the arrow moved. This will come in time and with practice.
She enjoyed finding letters and strolling around the magical lands. She also got to create her own Jumpeez. As she goes on into the game, she will unlock more accessories for her.
Mr. Serious also enjoyed the bonding time and watching her eyes light up during the game (or maybe it’s his eyes lighting up)!
