After what I would like to call a stressful day of no listening, misbehaving and no napping (for the second day in a row), Isabelle and I “had a little talk.”
After our talk, we worked on repeating what she was going to do in order to make sure it sunk in:
Me: “Repeat after me: ‘I am going to be a good girl.’”
Izzy: “I am going to be a good girl.”
Me: “I will listen to mommy and daddy.”
Izzy: “I will listen to mommy and daddy.”
And a couple more…then
Me: “I will do what mommy and daddy tell me to do.”
Izzy: “I will tell mommy and daddy what to do.”
Hmmmm….not quite what I was hoping for.
