Say what?

After what I would like to call a stressful day of no listening, misbehaving and no napping (for the second day in a row), Isabelle and I "had a little talk."

After our talk, we worked on repeating what she was going to do in order to make sure it sunk in:

Me: "Repeat after me: 'I am going to be a good girl.'"
Izzy: "I am going to be a good girl."

Me: "I will listen to mommy and daddy."
Izzy: "I will listen to mommy and daddy."

And a couple more...then

Me: "I will do what mommy and daddy tell me to do."
Izzy: "I will tell mommy and daddy what to do."

Hmmmm....not quite what I was hoping for.

And, if you doubt her sassiness..take a look!

I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with this issue. Lately, K will act like she is listening then start laughing in ur face while you are scolding her. Great times isn't it. Hang in there, it has to get better.

I am telling you I believe everyone who says that the 3's are worse than the 2's. SO TRUE!

Isn't she a little young to be sassy? Or is it just me being forgetful in my old age. I know that sassiness comes in abundance later on (as I get my fair share from my 7 and 11 yr olds ;o)

This is the part where I tell you it all gets better with age.
Um, sorry... I can' tell you that.
But I will wish you luck, lots of luck.
    You are gonna need it.

Would it help to tell you that she sure is cute when she is sassy?
    Yeah...you already knew that!

Hmmm....we've definitely got more than enough of that sort of thing here!
However, I actually like the no nap days....because it means that he's going to fall asleep easy at night!

First, I totally agree with the comment three's can be worse than two's, they were here. At four, we deal with sassiness pretty much daily. It's like they totally forget from day to day the little talks afterward.

I'm sure glad that there are other people out there with kids that have sass and don't listen. The kids I nanny for play that game for me every once in a while. It annoys the heck outta me!! Timeout and those kids are best friends right now. Hope things get better for you!!

    Love, Mere

No nap for two days, the worst.

Hoping she decided to finally take one, because an overtired preschooler is no fun at all :)

This sounds like my WEEK. Seriously. My kids have been nasty nasty nasty - like I want to put them out on the lawn with a For Sale sign on them, nasty. Perhaps it has to do with my "condition" but seriously...

Hang in there! It surely can't get any worse! At least that's what I'm saying. :-)
