Over the winter break, I was fortunate enough to send the my sweet girls to school so I could catch up on some much needed housework.  My bathroom, carpets and clothes all needed some attention after working so hard during the fall semester.

EcostoreUSALogo-1

I was thrilled that I had been contacted by EcostoreUSA a 20 year old New Zealand company that makes plant-based, non-toxic household cleaning, baby and personal care product that contain No Nasty Chemicals(tm).  As a chemist, I love knowing that my lungs and body will no be processing these nasty chemicals after I clean with them.

Serious Tested:  As I opened the box, I immediately saw something that struck me as awesome and uncommon.  The box, packing peanuts and even the paper the receipt was printed on was all done using recycled and recyclable products.  Not only a company that is making environmentally aware products, but they also take that up a notch and apply it to their business.

First I tried the Toilet Cleaner.  I loved that it didn’t smell like a nasty, harsh cleaning product.  Our toilet is in a small room in our bathroom, and I always feel like I have to clean and run so I don’t have to inhale the nasty fumes.  In addition to my well being, this also reminds me that we are not putting nasty chemicals into our water supply after cleaning the toilets.
I did notice that this didn’t seem to keep the toilet clean as long as a traditional cleaner, but this is still {shamefully admitting} clean for two weeks.

Next, we used the Laundry Liquid.  This is made with 100% certified organic eucalyptus oil.  It is also super concentrated and only require about 5T for a large load of laundry.  It got my clothes clean!  That’s really all I can ask for.  As a bonus, it left the laundry room smelling like eucalyptus which has a tendency to be a stress reliever (I definitely need that while doing laundry).

I’d like to try out their pure oxygen whitener.  My kids get horrible stains on their clothes at daycare and I bet this would actually get them out.

WIN IT: EcoStoreUSA would like to give one Really, Are You Serious? reader a $25 gift card to use at their online store.

For your first entry: Head over to EcoStoreUSA and tell me another product you would love to try (not mentioned in my review).

I like the toilet bowl cleaner. The other products (like the coconut soap) sounds great but I think I would really like to have a non toxic way to clean the bathroom.

Thank you!
