How can you help?-Relief for Haiti

I really feel like I have been out of touch with the horrible earthquake that has hurt Haiti.  Houses, buildings, hospitals, jails and lives have been ruined.  Families destroyed.  It is awful.

And, I sit here, at my desk after driving in my car and hugging and kissing my girls in the morning and I wonder: How can I help?   What can I do?

And, then I saw a post by Modern Matriarch pointing to more sites and pictures.  And, she is reaching into her pockets and donating $1 for every comment left on her post.  Today is Delurking Day.  Today is the day you are to leave comments on blogs you don't usually comment on.  Leave a comment.  Say "hi."

And, today.  I am doing the same.  I will donate $1 for each person that leaves a comment to the relief fund for Haiti established by the Methodist Church through UMCOR.  100% of the donation goes directly to the relief fund.

Edited to add:  I will add $1 to the donation amount through Friday morning at 6am, after that point, it will be $0.25 for each comment through January 21st, 2010.  (A minimum of $100 from the Serious Family...help make it more).  Please go visit Money Saving Mom to see many, MANY others who are now doing the same.

If you want to help another way, go to RedCross.org to see what you can do or text "Haiti" to 90999 and you will be charged $10 to your cell phone bill from the RedCross and yes, it is legitimate.
