I've never had a themed party before, but I was given the opportunity to try one out. We had a DOLE smoothie party and invited some of our friends and their kiddos to try it out.
I had a hard time finding the DOLE frozen fruits, but eventually found them at Publix (not Kroger or Walmart). I had selected a couple Dole's Smoothie recipes, but when I got to the store, I realized they didn't have all of the ones I wanted.
First, we made a berry berry smoothie. It was quite tasty. The favorite was an adaptation of one of the recipes (because the store didn't carry them all).
I blended 1 c of fat free vanilla yogurt, 1 cup of frozen pineapple, 2 cups of frozen mango and 1 c of orange juice or pineapple juice. This was definitely a hit! It was smooth, creamy and icy.
A bonus of using frozen fruit is that you don't need to add any ice to the recipes.
These were some very happy customers.

We are a smoothie family, and now that the kids are teens they are making their own concoctions. You just never know what’s going to end up in the blender around here. The only things safe from the blades are veggies—the kids don’t do veggies, I’m sorry to say.

I love frozen fruit.
We have frozen strawberry smoothies almost every night. Ours are strawberries, milk, a little splenda and a splash of vanilla. Yum!
