PenAgain The World's Most Comfortable Pen {Review and Giveaway}

December 9, 2010 in giveaway,review

As a teacher, I'm writing a lot.  And, I've been using pens all of my life (well, my writing life), so I've got a writer's callus that's pretty much permanent.  Normal pens are not designed around the human hand and can cause discomfort in the fingers, develop sore muscles in the hand, and pinch nerves in the wrist.

imagePenAgain was developed to alleviate your symptoms.  When you hold a PenAgain, you will notice it is a more natural feeling because your hand is trying to unlearn a lifetime of poor writing habits. It's not your fault.

PenAgain's primary focus is comfort. It is designed with the human hand in mind.  At first you grip the pen, but you realize that you can relax your hand, and let the weight of your hand hold the pen in place. You'll feel tension of writing melt away.

They have four different writing utensils.  image

  • Designed specifically for children's small hands
  • 2 mm pencil lead. Never needs sharpening
  • Safe for Scantron test taking (#2 pencil lead)
  • The wishbone shaped design forces the school taught "tripod" position. The unusual, curvy design and fun colors will make your kids want to pick up and write or doodle.imageAlong with new enhancements like a pocket clip, retractable cap, easier refilling and more streamlined ergonomics, the new Ergo-Sof PenAgain is also finished with a soft rubber coating that adds extra comfort and style. All Ergo-Sof pens come with two additional black refills. Order in red, silver, blue and black.image

    • Nice metal finish
    • Ergonomic design
    • Rubber Comfort Grips
    • Refillable

    Like they stated, it does take an adjustment and you feel a little funny writing with them, but you can allow your hand to relax…just lots of retraining involved.

    The Twist 'n Writes were made with children in mind.  It was a little big for Isabelle to use.  I think it was also awkward for her as she is left-handed, so she holds a pencil at a different angle.

    Win it: Six lucky Really, Are You Serious? readers will win either a ErgoSleek executive pen in Chrome,  1 of 3 Twist 'n Write (2 packs),  a ErgoSof PenAgains in silver or a ErgoSof PenAgains in black (pen/pencil winnings will be chosen by random).

    My Mom has rheumatoid arthritis, and writing has become difficult for her. The ergonomic style of these pens looks like it would be helpful for her.
