No. Not the girls. Me.

Spoiled.

By my previous childcare provider. {For what we paid them, we should have felt spoiled.}

Yep. I was.

They prepared and served lunches. {I’m exhausted packing lunches and we are only 5 and 3 weeks into the year.}

They prepared and served snacks. {My kids eat all.the.time. And more than I could ever eat!}

They got my girls on a schedule. {E? Still no schedule, but getting close.}

They helped them with a bottle. {E? No bottles for her. Only straight from the tap.}

They knew what to teach them and practice and when.

I’m a mom for the third time and I feel like I have no freaking clue. I have to pull up charts to tell me what my almost 7 month old should be doing (case in point, right before 6 months, I looked and realized she should be practicing sitting. Whoops.). I don’t know how to keep her entertained. We read books and sing songs and act them out. We talk to each other and I try to point out colors. That’s good, right?

{Thankfully, she’s sitting up all by herself now. Milestone? Check.}

While I complain about the food and the lunches and the schedules…I’m also spoiled at home.

I get to see this girl after every nap. And see her sweet smile and face looking for me when she wakes up. I get to see those cute little fly aways on the back of her head. My first girl to have bed head.

I get to stand at the bus stop and wait for #1, who runs off the bus to me almost every day.

I get to spend time in the carpool line with #2 telling me what she thinks is going to happen every day, and then after pick up, get to hear what she did. With no big sister interruptions. She gets to be herself (which is increasingly hard with such an influential big sister).

Yeah, I’m still spoiled.

  I’m linking up here.  Go and visit their Wordful and Wordless Wednesdays.

Nice post. Life is full of choices, and you made a good one honey. I’m spoiled by a wife who takes such great care of the kiddos.

it is really great that you get to do all of this spoiling. I am very happy for you and Mr. Serious working things out so well and you can stay home. I would love to also see that cute face every day.

Why do I come here to see your beautiful babies while trying to fight to have the urge to try for a girl?!
There’s nothing wrong with being spoiled – as long as you’re not rotten ;)

Because one and done is totally overrated?!?!

And, definitely not rotten..there’s still laundry and cleaning and well, life!
