The parties keep coming. And, just as I said I would, I didn’t attend the scarecrow party. It didn’t make sense. Drop off at 9. Party at 10:30. Pick up at 12. I just couldn’t fit it all in.
When I mentioned that I didn’t know how I was going to do a scarecrow costume, I never imagined that the blogging community would come to my rescue in such an awesome way!
Lindsey, of Redheaded Baby Mama is actually a professional costume designer. She said she could help. And instead of assuming she just sort of said it, I said, okay, let’s do it, and we scheduled a time and a date. I brought a pair of jeans and a button down shirt and she made the rest happen. Oh, and a -bux drink. I had zero plans and expectations for executing this costume. Holy cow. Totally blown away. I just sat there with E and gabbed and she made the most adorable little scarecrow outfit ever.
She knew it, too. When I showed it to her, she totally tried to contain her excitement. Then she put it on all by herself this morning. When I looked at her, I told her she was sooo cute. I was quickly instructed to not say she was cute. I then smiled because she looked so cute. She put her hand in front of my mouth and hid my smile. We looked on my phone at pictures of scarecrows before I was authorized to draw the nose and lashes on her face.
She wants you smile and tell her she’s cute…but she wants to pretend she doesn’t want you to say it. The personality….kills me!
