Best Tech Gifts for Dad #OneBuyForAll

I don’t know about you, but I have a really hard time shopping for Mr. Serious. He never really “wants” anything, so it’s a struggle finding something I think he will appreciate and enjoy. He tends to like technology and all things “techie.” After thinking long and hard and not coming up with anything specific, I went online. That didn’t work at all. So, headed out the door because I needed to touch all the things and look around the store to really get the right thing for him. I really wanted to get him one of the best tech gifts out there. And, I wanted it to be one of the cool gifts that are trendy, too. Is it bad that I want him to be able to have something awesome to say that he got for Christmas when his family or friends ask?

My first stop was to Best Buy with E in tow. She’s a good shopping companion and helps me make decisions. And, she’ll let me wonder around and look at everything!

At first I was a little overwhelmed. There were so many options! A phone with a watch that communicates with it. How cool is that? While it might seem odd, we really like our Sonicare toothbrushes. Like a lot. So, I thought about picking him up a new one (after a couple years it’s time for a replacement). Or maybe a bluetooth speaker that lights up to the music? E was really partial to that one. Plus, she could push the buttons in front of the speakers to hear how they all sounded. You can’t do that online shopping.

We also wondered around and checked out the tablets. There are so many to chose from. I like that you can pick them up, see how big they are and how heavy and see the displays. With technology, it’s really helpful to be able to hold it and test it out.

Then, I had another idea to get him some great headphones. He listens to music all the time at work, and he’s got some $10 headphones. I’ve heard great things about some of the newer, larger headphones, so I wanted to check them out.

And a slow cooker? Okay, well, maybe not for Mr. Serious so much as me, but he likes to eat dinner and ours is on the outs:) However, I know many men that are great in the kitchen and would love one.

My little helper was partial to the bluetooth speaker for daddy. Good thing I brought her along with me.

We finally decided on a blue tooth speaker. He loves to listen to music on his phone at home. It makes him happy, so I know this will be a great tech gift that he will enjoy. And while I was there, I hit up the gift center and grabbed a Best Buy gift card for my step-brother. I never know what to get him!

As an added bonus, when I purchased the Best Buy gift card, I was able to enter the Give It To Win It gift card promotion. From December 11-24th, every time you purchase a $25 or more Best Buy gift card, in-store or online, you can scan your gift card in their app, or enter their gift card number on their website to enter for a chance to win one of the daily prizes.*

If you can’t come up with a holiday gift idea, Best Buy has set up a trending page to show what gadgets are currently trending on Twitter. Why is it that the men in our lives are always the most difficult to buy for? :) You’ve inspired me to take a trip to Best Buy!

I don’t know…but they are a pain for sure. Then again, I’m not easy, either:)

Glad I’m on target. Sometimes I wonder if I’m not “trendy” enough anymore and have no clue what’s “hot!”

Hope you were able to wrap things up. We are done here except stockings…and I got something for Mr. Serious, so I assigned him the task of doing all the others. I think it’s only fair!

My hubby is a techie man. I didn’t realize how hard it was to buy for him until I actually started looking! A gift card to Best Buy would be perfect for him! I love the trending gifts page they have too! Such a great spot for gift ideas!

I love the ideas, too. Sometimes, I do think of something, but if I don’t write it down or buy it right then, it’s gone from my brain.

Best Buy has a lot of great gifts, especially for those that are hard to buy for (my husband is one of those men as well). And the gift card is always a winner to that store!

I hate doing the gift card thing for him, but at the same time, I want him to enjoy and appreciate what he gets!

You are a nice wife, for sure. I don’t think I would find it in my heart to get another one after he lost it! My husband lost expensive sunglasses I bought him. This year, in addition to his speaker, he’s getting three pairs of cheepy sunglasses!

First of all I have to say you have the cutest helper! Secondly Best Buy is probably a GREAT place to buy a gift for men that are hard to shop for (I think that would be all of them). Great post!

Yeah, I think the non-techie could appreciate a good pair of headphones. In fact, I was using earbuds last night and kept getting annoyed because they fell out!

My husband can be terrible to buy for, too. He also loves electronics but seems to be so particular about them that I really have to do my research if I go that route with his gift! ;) I think it’s funny how tools used to be the go-to gift for guys, but now it seems like tech gifts have taken their place!

That Give it to Win it promotion sounds like a great deal; I would love to win one of those daily prizes, so I hope you do! :)

I love that Best Buy offers a trending page to show what are the popular technology gifts, because I still need to round out a few for my husband this year! Blue tooth speakers sound like a great tech gift for the kids to give dad this year- we may have to add that to our list.
