The wedding reception was fun (minus the raw chicken..Em, you better get some money back for that). There was so much dancing, most of us were soaked with sweat by the time the reception was over.
After the wedding, I hung out for a bit at the church with my sister and her BFF to get everything cleaned up, her bustle ready, and off to the reception. The rest of the family beat me there and took the opportunity to snap a lot of pictures.
My Aunt Deb, #2, My Aunt Theresa, #1, My cousin Keegan
“Hamming” it up!
The girls hanging out with their aunt and cousin.
She was obsessed with giving him his paci.
The cake (it’s hard to see, but they matched the monogram from the invitations I did).
“Hamming” it up.
The grand entrance (they arrived in a Hummer!)
A little blurry, but a picture of us.
The music was blaring and the girls were ready to dance and dance and dance. They had a blast.
Dancing with Uncle Zac.
Some Texas A&M tradition. Yeah, I don’t get it, either.
There was a lot of group/line dancing. In fact, we didn’t fit on the dance floor. This picture has a flash snafoo, but it sure seemed like it captured the movement.
I was really concentrating.
I don’t know which dance this was, but #1 was loving the line dancing. She fit right in and danced the whole song.
#1 dancing with grandma and grandpa.
The girls thought it would be fun to try and catch the bouquet. Thank goodness that didn’t happen.
Mom and her sisters cutting a rug.
Joe getting his groove on.
I got one dance in with my cousin…he was less than thrilled.
And, they were off.
I can’t believe it was only last week, and yet, it seems like it all just happened. Such a whirlwind. We made it home Monday night after 14 hours in the car! We survived. But, I’m not sure when that next road trip will happen. I think everybody can come to us for a while!
