Dear my little B-

How is it that you’ve already been here for TWO months? (Okay, well, let’s get this out of the way, you never officially had a two month birthday because there is no 29th of February).

It’s been two months since your rapid arrival in our downstairs bathroom. Two months of snuggling you, figuring out what you like (and what you don’t) and most importantly, two months of loving you from the outside.

Your two month stats? They are from your one month check up. We went pretty late because I scheduled it with your sister’s 2 year check up. So, your official two month check up should happen soon. Right after I schedule it!

Some of your red hair fell out on the top, but it’s already growing back. And, a little on the back, too. That’s not really growing back, but it looks like it’s coming in curly, too. Lucky you…you will have awesome curly red hair like your sister (and feel free to come tell me I’m wrong in a couple decades!)

My favorite thing about this age? You love to smile. And I’m certain that I am your favorite person to smile at. Yep, I know it. Towards the end of the month, you started cooing and talking to me too. It’s just the sweetest little baby voice ever.

You are starting to sleep better at night, and take good naps during the day, too. You are very thankful mommy remembered we have a swing. As far as eating? You are definitely my fastest nurser. Most of the time, you only eat on one side. Even though we got your partial tongue-tie fixed, your latch still leaves something to the imagination. You have a high palate which I think is a reason for your unusual latch as well as your non-interest in taking a pacifier (something I’m not used to at all).

With mommy’s diet change (no dairy and no gluten) your tummy has felt a lot better and your rash is clearing up. I think this has helped your happy factor also.

You were lucky enough to meet your cousin and Aunt Emily for the first time.

It’s been a good month for us. Of course, there have been a lot of adjustments, but we are all finding our roles and loving it.

That’s great that going gluten free and dairy free is helping her! I don’t eat gluten or dairy (well, casein) either, because they give me eczema rashes.
