I know it’s probably crazy to believe, but this is the first time we’ve really decorated and planned a baby room. Three kids, and only one intentional
nursery room. (I just don’t like that word…don’t know why).
Part of it is we were renting a house with #1 and didn’t want to paint and decorate too much. And, with both #1 and #2, we didn’t find out they were girls until they were born, so nothing was gender specific.
This time was different. We found out we were having a girl (and had it confirmed multiple times) and decided she was going to have a room that was for a girl.
But, not too girly. No pinks. Subtly girl. Early on, I knew I wanted the room to be a very soft and gentle gray. It’s actually called calm. Here’s hoping it has that effect.
Then, I picked out the crib bedding, and the crib and things started coming together.
Now? Her room is ready for her to get here.
Along with a place for mommy or daddy to rest for a minute with her if necessary (or anybody else, really)…that dotted minky is so, so comfy.
Well, there’s a little hint, isn’t there? Her name starts with an ‘E’ but that’s all you get. And, that’s all anybody else has gotten either. This E (should have taken a before picture) was from Aunt Emily’s house, but was really dark. My friend and I (mostly the friend) painted it up to match the room and got it up with the pictures.
So, Baby E, we are ready and waiting. We hope you come sooner rather than later. We can’t wait to meet you!
I’m linking up here. Go and visit their Wordful and Wordless Wednesdays.
