Playing School

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

This is a sponsored post. I am a Kmart blogger, though all opinions are my own.

We are now fully submerged in all things school. In fact, N wanted to know why she didn’t have homework (I need to think of some for her). So, once other homework is done, it’s time to play.

And, the three sisters desperately miss each other, so they all want to be together (yes, there is still fighting). What cracks me up, is that when they are ready to play, they decide to play school. Just out of the scene here is the middle sister playing teacher and telling her older sister to “draw a castle.” She obliged. And, well, E her a camera and put on her best “cheese face.”

Before school started, I took the lists to the store and bought everything that was requested. But, I had forgotten to pick up supplies for home for homework. We were missing the essentials like crayons, markers, and colored pencils. I take that back, we were missing those things in good condition. We had some, but they needed to be replaced. Fortunately, places like Kmart are still having sales, where I can pick up everything on their back to school shopping list from backpacks to gym shoes and the latest fall styles for less.

We are all set for clothes, but those school supplies. Not so much. My girls can kill a pain set in about 0.2 seconds. So, I’m glad that there are sales still happening (we’re already in our second going into third week of school here!)

  10. Your girls are the absolute cutest! I love their natural happiness. I purchase at-home-school supplies too. My daughter’s past playing school (she’d in 3rd Grade) but I like to challenge her at home with a little extra work, plus she loves to do arts and crafts, as well as write and draw in her journal so we go through quite a bit of stationary items.

    1. Wait, they stop at 3rd grade? I’m certain my sister and I still played school then.

  15. My sister & I spent HOURS playing school! All year round! Surprisingly, I didn’t want to be a teacher when I grew up. Or homeschool. Ah, well. 🙂
