At The High
We pushed hard this weekend. Saturday they no-napped us. Stinkers. We can usually count on Saturday being a good nap day. Not the case.
Sunday, we had a church wide brunch followed by a quick trip home to feed the babe, and then a new adventure at the High Museum. (Yes, amanda, I’m saying “yes” way more!) So, it was a no-nap day again.
In addition to learning about so many of the family attractions Atlanta has to offer, the girls found the kid exhibit in the museum.
They played with the puppets that were inspired by paintings displayed in the museum.
But, about half way through our trip, on of them did it shoeless. Yes, my child explored the High Museum shoeless. (Most of their “exploring was in the kid area, thank goodness.)
I didn’t realize they had changed into new shoes before heading out, and they quickly had blisters on their feet. #2 was the first to ditch them. She had rubbed the skin raw on her feet.
Fortunately, it was near closing time and wasn’t very crowded at all. It definitely wasn’t a parenting win, so we finished our visit. When one of the workers asked us to put her shoes on, she was carried the rest of the way and we left. You do what you have to do, right?
I’m linking up here. Go and visit their Wordful and Wordless Wednesdays.
i don’t know what i love more – the saying yes, the bare foot babes or the instagram pics!!! best post. best day. ever!!!
too cute walking around a museum barefoot. How could they ask those cute little feet to be covered.
Something about safety…or something!
You definitely do what you have to do. Looks like they had so much fun! So CUTE!! 🙂
Thanks…and yes, it was fun.
How cute! I love living in Atlanta and all it has to offer. Fun trip!
There is definitely a lot of fun to offer!
Ya’ll are always having so much fun! 😉
We try…we get tired of being inside all the time.
yeah for flying by the seat of your pants…i am having trouble ditching naps and just doing something on the fly. but you did it!
It gets easier…especially when 1/2 naps on the weekends are a battle…we just hope they go to bed earlier!
Definitely just do what you have to do. 🙂 I love your photos of the day!
Thanks! The iPhone and instagram sure make it easier to take pictures while out and about.
There are definitely days, and shoes!, when I wish I could do the very same!
I have a feeling if I would have taken my shoes off, they wouldn’t have waited so long to say something!
