Bedtime Reading | Mommy and Me Monday | 189th ed
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.
It’s tough being away from these cuties, for sure. Even though I was coming home every night (way after bedtime) and got to see their cute faces every morning. It was hard. (Missing? The cutie that I rocked, read to and snuggled before bed for the first time in days).
I made sure to get some bedtime reading and snuggles in with the big two before they were headed off to bed, too. It felt good. It felt right.
It was so great to be able to attend a conference in my home city. Able to go home and sleep in my own bed. Able to see their smiles (briefly) before heading off to another day of learning and brain growth. It was great to be at the conference and meet so many of my friends, finally. And make some new ones too. But, it’s good to be home doing the usual everyday thing with them, too.
I try to make sure and visit all of you and leave some comment love. Please spread the love! And, I never mind the comments, either:)
Awe! Three lovely ladies. They are all so grown up. I am glad to be able to participate this Link Up again. It has been a long time. My kids do love reading books before bedtime too. They just love that and somehow it makes them ready to go to bed. 🙂 Precious times!
So glad you were able to join in again.
I couldn’t agree with you more – it made my brain so tired to learn so much in such a little time, it made me smile SO hard to see old friends, to make new ones and have such a good time. But it’s when Red wakes up in the morning, sees me, and yells, ” MA MA!” that melts the heart. Glad that you are catching up on snuggles 🙂
Not to mention implementing things. That will probably never happen!
I need about infinity more minutes in a day, and about the same amount of energy.
I miss those cute faces every day.
Your girls are just too cute! Glad you were able to attend the conference!
It was a great conference. Hopefully you can go next year…in the ATL again:)
so glad you were able to make it… i didn’t get too… but anyways… lol… cute picture of those girls… they are so sweet 😉
The only way I could go? It was in town and I saved on hotel and airfare…and I bought the ticket on the super early bird pricing!
I can’t wait to get some snuggles from these girls in 5 days! Glad you got to go to the conference…what you do is pretty cool. Hopefully they supply big bottles of water next year 🙂
Such a sweet post , your girls are adorable.
Not being able to read to my kiddos at night is one of the things I hate most about traveling. It’s great that you were able to have the best of both worlds!
It sure was nice to do both!
I don’t have a little one to read to anymore–he is too big for Mom to read to him, but I loved those times, and can’t wait to read to my grandchildren someday!
What a great idea for a meme, so often I am not in the picture!!
I hope you join in with us one week. It’s fun to make sure you at least have one picture each week..even if it’s a blurry and dark selfie on Sunday night:)
Aww. What a sweet picture. 🙂
You all are beautiful! I am so glad you guys are back in your regular routine!
Look at all their curls!!!
I’m slightly attached to them:)
