It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids.  Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.

It’s tough being away from these cuties, for sure. Even though I was coming home every night (way after bedtime) and got to see their cute faces every morning. It was hard. (Missing? The cutie that I rocked, read to and snuggled before bed for the first time in days).

I made sure to get some bedtime reading and snuggles in with the big two before they were headed off to bed, too. It felt good. It felt right.

Mommy and Me Monday Reading

It was so great to be able to attend a conference in my home city. Able to go home and sleep in my own bed. Able to see their smiles (briefly) before heading off to another day of learning and brain growth. It was great to be at the conference and meet so many of my friends, finally. And make some new ones too. But, it’s good to be home doing the usual everyday thing with them, too.

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?
**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**

I try to make sure and visit all of you and leave some comment love.  Please spread the love!  And, I never mind the comments, either:)

  1. Awe! Three lovely ladies. They are all so grown up. I am glad to be able to participate this Link Up again. It has been a long time. My kids do love reading books before bedtime too. They just love that and somehow it makes them ready to go to bed. 🙂 Precious times!

  2. I couldn’t agree with you more – it made my brain so tired to learn so much in such a little time, it made me smile SO hard to see old friends, to make new ones and have such a good time. But it’s when Red wakes up in the morning, sees me, and yells, ” MA MA!” that melts the heart. Glad that you are catching up on snuggles 🙂

    1. Not to mention implementing things. That will probably never happen!

I need about infinity more minutes in a day, and about the same amount of energy.

  6. Not being able to read to my kiddos at night is one of the things I hate most about traveling. It’s great that you were able to have the best of both worlds!

  7. I don’t have a little one to read to anymore–he is too big for Mom to read to him, but I loved those times, and can’t wait to read to my grandchildren someday!
