Blue Man Group Always Impresses

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

The first time I saw Blue Man Group was back in 2002 (yes, I was blonde then!) in Boston and I went alone. Many years later I went with Mr. Serious on a date. And last year our entire family saw them at Universal Studios.

And each time was an absolute blast. Even the Encore show. Despite the fact that I’ve seen it several times, I still find myself smiling and laughing the entire show.

Because what isn’t awesome about no-ear, non-smiling, almost-non-blinking blue men playing drums and covering themselves in paint?

Blue Man Group

Pretty much everything!

This year, they were at the Fox Theater (where they will be until April 12th) and I took the 6 year old again. She said it was a little loud and she didn’t care for the Twinkie scene, but loves the drums. And, I have to agree!

And, it never fails that somebody (I’m sure planned) yells out Free Bird and that gets played on their pipe piano.

If your kids are PBS fans, Fetch with Ruff Ruffman pays a visit to Blue Man group, so it you can catch it on Netflix to give your kids a preview it’s a great hit!

  1. I saw them in the late 90s in Boston, and they were FABULOUS! It was an intimate theatre, and the first TEN rows had a tarp. It was a magical show with flyovers (they TP-ed the audience!) and tons of props!

    1. We probably saw it at the same place! And, they do the TP with the shows in Atlanta (not as much) and Universal (a lot). The Universal show was more like Boston, for sure!

  2. We really wanted to catch a show at Universal but we ran out of time. Just another reason to visit Universal again. 🙂

  3. I saw them for the first time at Universal Studios last year. It’s a loud show. I agree w/ your 6 year old. The audience interaction when they bring folks on stage looks like fun – from afar. I’d pass out of it happened to me!

I have not had the opportunity to see them yest but am looking forward to it one day. They seem fun and entertaining!

  5. Looks like an amazing show! I’d love to see them perform live!
