It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids.  Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.

Do you ever do too much? And think you will be okay? That your body will let you keep going and pushing through? Apparently, I’ve forgotten that waking up twice a night to feed a newborn takes a lot out of a person. And, I haven’t really had the chance to rest and nap.

Saturday was the straw that broke the camel’s back. But, really it was likely the week leading up to it.

Tuesday and Wednesday school was canceled again for snow days. Thursday and Friday were already furlough days for the teachers, so we were stuck inside for three days. Friday was operation plan for E’s second birthday. I baked and cleaned while all four girls were home.

Saturday morning, we went to the circus. We had special corporate suite seats and couldn’t turn it down. It was fun and a busy morning. Daddy wore E and I wore B (Phillips area isn’t stroller friendly at all. We learned that the hard way one time!)

We went home and finished up preparing for her party and then had the party. We had dinner and N and I started to feel yucky. Let’s just say this…I have about 8 loads of preschooler bedding to wash and I’m running on crackers + applesauce + Pedialyte for the past two days.

N seems to have recovered much faster than me (lucky her), but I’m trying to get better and trying to promise myself to remember to rest and take it easier.

All of that to say, this will be a daddy and me post because I think he earned if after cleaning up after N so many times!

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?
**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**

It’s your meme so you can break the rules if you want to!

  2. I hope you’re on the mend and can eat a real meal soon. And then you have 5 kiddos this weekend…yes, you do too much!

  3. Oh NO- Hope you are feeling better now!
Glad it was over break – so as to not miss school and have to deal with the transporting of others to school… but if you are like us, you are ready for school to be back in 🙂

    1. Oh, there would have been a lot of girls missing school if that were the case. I could barely get out of bed for a day!

  4. Oh man. I really hope you are feeling better now and have gotten some much needed rest. It is so hard to slow down sometimes. I remember going a little overboard after Ben was born. I was doing far too much and was even throwing in too much exercise on too little sleep. I got really sick. Lesson learned.
I hope you are able to slow down a bit too, though I know life with four young kids doesn’t really have a “slow” mode.

    1. Exercise has only been a couple walks so far. I’ve got to get more rest first, for sure:)

  5. wait you had a birthday party?!?! this is just not possible friend!!

how is time going this quickly??

    happy happy birthday sweet e!!
