A Dance with Goofy
I know…you thought this was going to be a picture of me with Mr. Serious and I was calling him goofy. Nope, not the case. A dance with Goofy at Disney world.
FIFTEEN years ago. How’s that to make a person feel old? They have a memory from 15 years ago. 1998. High school drill team/dance trip. Yes, I performed at Disney World. (Am I rocking those shorts, backpack purse, and tall socks or what?)
And, guess what? In just under two months, we’ll be back. The whole family! (Shhhh…don’t tell the girls). We’re headed there as part of the Disney Social Media Moms conference (#DisneySMMoms)! In addition to meeting and seeing the Disney princesses (my girls are going to lose their cool), I’m excited to meet so many amazing women that I’ve connected with over the years!

The girls are going to have so much fun! Oh and I am so jealous you got to compete at Disney. As a former cheerleader it was our goal to go to Nationals and while we got an invite, we never could pull it together to actually go.
We didn’t really compete there..we just danced on a stage..I don’t think we did, anyways. Man, I can’t remember anything!
I can’t wait to see pictures of their reaction. They are going to LOVE it! The drive on the ‘boring roads’ will be well worth it.
Here’s hoping! They are not really patient in the car.

That would be such a neat event to attend. I mean, it’s Disney World, after all! Plus the socializing and meeting other bloggers would be great.

CONGRATS!!! I have never been to Disney and would have been able to see you in May….except I just got a new full time job and they won’t give me time off 🙁 (Turning down Disney sucks I tell ya! LOL) Do me a favor – have a blast for me!! OK? I’m so happy for you!! I cannot wait to see pictures! (I promise to only be a teeny bit jealous but a whole lotta happy for you heheheh)

This is so cute. The last time I went was in high school too, for the National Robotics competition in 1999. I can’t wait to see you there!

btw – My little one is so excited about playing with your girls! She was more excited about playing with her “new friend” in the striped sweater at the CNN Center than actually going on the Dumbo ride again. How she remembers these things, I have no idea!

By 1998 I was a year out of college, in graduate school, and married! You’re making ME feel old! 🙂 I took my 2 sons to Disney World in 2007 and we’d like to go back to take our daughter when she’s a bit older.
Oh no…not old at all:) I know our youngest won’t remember it, but she’ll see pictures, so she at least won’t be upset she didn’t go with us.
So excited for you guys! I took my girlies to Disneyland when they were 5. AWESOME!
I’m hoping that 4.5 an 6.5 is perfect for the older two…the youngest at 15 months won’t be impressed, but that’s okay.
