It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids.  Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.

Between our budgeting and our dieting, going out with the family doesn’t happen very often. Not to mention it’s a lot of work with three kids. But this weekend, it happened. And the girls were pretty well behaved. E, however, won the award for best behaved, which is pretty crazy to think about.

I got to sit next to my girl, N, who thought it would be hilarious to drink from her straw like a silly girl. But she was nice enough to stop and smile for us to get a picture together.

Mommy and Me Monday Zoes Kitchen Review

The whole family (in addition to some of our blog friends) headed to Zoes Kitchen (if somebody wants to tell me how to get those umlauts to appear, that’d be great!). We haven’t had it since the girls’ birthday, and some of their take out tubs before that,  so we were ready to get our hands on some again. Of course, it didn’t disappoint one bit!

The limeade? Totally awesome. I like to dilute it a bit with sparking water. It makes it little bubble and helps keep my calories under control for all of the other deliciousness. ~ Like the hummus and pitas. Deliciousness in a bowl. All five of us had some. ~ Then, the Greek salad. I think this is my favorite. Their Greek dressing is awesome. Just a little feta cheese to give the salad a pop. Oh, and if you have a little hummus left, dip those cucumbers in it. ~ Pasta salad and marinated slaw were next. The pasta salad has fresh basil. This totally makes it for me and brings it a step up. And the marinated slaw is nice and light (I wish they would hold the green onions). ~ The meals? They don’t mess around. Chicken kabobs? The chicken is so tender and marinated to yumminess. Three flavors of roll ups; chicken, chicken with spinach and beef. Everybody really enjoyed all of them. I heard rave reviews of the beef, but nobody would share with me. I’ll definitely be getting that next time. The spinach and chicken was just the right balance. ~ Ya Ya’s Handmade Chocolate Cake. Guys. This cake? I said like eight times…”I don’t really like cake and this is amazing!” I don’t know what it is about it, but I keep wishing I had another piece at home to eat. (I saved half of mine and brought it home, only to eat it later that night).

**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**

Your girls are growing up so fast. I remember when N was just a babe and now she is such a big girl. I love her beautiful hair… she has so much of it too. Glad that you had a nice meal out and that little E set the example for her big sisters. Hugs, Lura
