It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids.  Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.

Thankfully, we all recovered fairly quickly last weekend. Why? Because over a year ago, or maybe a little less, I agreed to watch our niece so my sister and brother-in-law could attend a destination wedding. They made a very quick 40 minute pit-stop in Atlanta from Houston to Orlando. Mr. Serious headed to the airport, picked her up at the gate and brought her to our house.

So, for 48 hours, there were two parents and 5 girls, 7 and under (7, 5, 2, 6 months, 8 weeks). We didn’t all leave the house in the car at the same time (turns out we can’t fit 5 carseats/boosters in either of our vans at the same time). But, we did head out for about a 30 minutes walk. Double jogging stroller (oh my goodness is it super easy to push for jogging/walking), baby carrier, and two girls walking and we made it.

(Yes, Mr. Serious went on the walk with us…he took the picture! And I only pushed the stroller for a bit when a certain preschooler decided that she was no longer walking, so Mr. Serious gave her a ride on his back!)

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?

**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**

I try to make sure and visit all of you and leave some comment love.  Please spread the love!  And, I never mind the comments, either:)

  1. Woah!!!! You look like a superhero in that picture! Wowsa! But you made it! You did it! Well done, you! 🙂
Does having ONLY four kids seem easy after that? 😉

    1. HaHa! Hardly superhero. But, yes, four does seem easier…and a little quieter, too.

  2. I think it is hard with ONE – still not sure you make it look so easy with 4 — then adding another to the mix (no matter how long the visit!)? ROCK IT GIRL!!!!!

    1. I always tell people going from 0 to 1 was the hardest adjustment…I still agree:)

  3. yay for super cousin fun!! so super cute too!!

  4. That’s a lot of girls! I am glad you were able to handle it.

  5. Wow look at you! You are definitely Super Mom and taking care of your nieces like it’s no big deal! What a beautiful family you have!

  6. wow that is brave of you!! I took my 5 nieces and nephews to get ice cream a few weeks ago and we barely got the 3 boosters in my car!! thankfully the older two don’t need boosters anymore!!

    1. Yeah, we can’t get 3 across in the back of our van, though! We have two in boosters, but they still have to be in them by Georgia law!

You are awesome for taking them out…it’s totally different as a mom versus an aunt.

      PS Congratulations!!!!

  7. That’s a full house for sure. We have four kids, and our minivan is definitely full:)

    1. Have you tried to add another booster/ car seat? Then again, not sure how old your kiddos are…maybe you don’t need boosters for the oldest?
