Back to School: Free First Day of School Printables

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

I made these first day of school printables last year for my girls and went ahead and did all of elementary school.

They are small here, but click on them to be taken to the full image that you can save and print at your leisure (Scroll to the bottom to grab a PDF of all of them).

Pro Tip: I print these out on a heavy duty card stock so the kids can’t rough them up. Then I save their picture, the sign and the questionnaire (at the bottom of the post) in a binder with all of their pictures. I want to have a binder full of all of their first days and pictures and questionnaires to give to them with they graduate.

Do I know what they will do with them? Nope. But, they will have them and maybe appreciate them.

You can have your kids fill it out every year to see all of the changes that have developed in them. I also like to see how much their handwriting has changed. Kindergarten handwriting is so different then 3rd grade handwriting.

As a teacher and mother, I love these signs. I wish that I was able to capture my oldest with these signs. There is just something about going back and looking at the changes. I teach 5th grade so it is amazing to me to see the transformation from K to 5th that I get to see in so many students.
