Y’all. It’s 7 weeks until my dude date! Seriously…I know how we got here, but holy cow. Thanksgiving, Christmas (maybe New Years) and then baby! Eek. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous at all!

Fortunately, I’d done this rodeo a couple times, so hopefully, I will remember tricks and tips to save me when in the newborn-sleep-induced haze that tends to effect all new moms. But, I won’t promise that I will be dressed to impress or have the cleanest hair!

One thing I know that will save me some sanity and help me gain a little time is the Graco Little Lounger™.

Baby Lydia rides in the Graco Little Lounger Review

It is both a rocking seat and a vibrating lounger. Two motions/actions that newborn babies love. And, you can adjust the incline angle with a multitude of recline positions to find the perfect angle for you baby. My girls are typically colicky, and refluxy, so I have a feeling they will be sleeping, resting, rocking and vibrating at the highest angle. It also has a 3-point harness to keep baby secure.

While my little munchkin is being soothed, I can take those 15 minutes or so (let’s be optimistic and call it 30 minutes) and have a nice hot shower or maybe release some tension with some simple and easy mom-friendly yoga stretches. Meryl from Sacred Thread Yoga showed us several that we could do in the comfort of our own homes, either in a chair or standing up on the wall.

We stretched out our chest and arms (from holding a baby and feeding a baby)

If you’ve had a baby (or are working on one), you know that you sleep in weird positions, and your body gets out of whack, so these very simple moves that can be done in 15 minutes can really help out. And we stretched out our hips from those 9+ months of growing and changing.

It was amazing how quiet a room full of 15 adults and several kids got during our 15 minute break while the baby was being soothed by the Little Lounger.

And, when your baby is awake, and has three siblings playing with her (of course, a real baby would be secured with the 3-point harness), should you want to transform the rocker into a stationary lounger, you just flip the two Rock Locks™ and those wonderful siblings can’t rock baby anymore! (Oh my goodness…my house is going to be crazy!!!)

Should those siblings actually leave her alone, when she gets a little older, there is a toy bar with two soft toys keeps baby entertained. And, with the push of a button, and squeezing it together, it folds up compactly for travel or storage.

The Graco Little Lounger™ is safe for infants up to 30 pounds. However, it’s important to keep an eye on their developmental queues as you wouldn’t want them in the lounger once they are able to sit up.

I’m excited for the day we bring home our little girl and I set this up right next to our bed (in place of a bassinet). I used one with E in the same way, and it is definitely on my list of “must haves” for new babies and moms!

*I hosted a party at my house to test out the Little Lounger™. I received a complementary product and compensation for this post. All opinions are mine.

Hmmm, that looks handier then the swing AND bouncy chair AND cradle! Wish I’d have seen this 32 months ago! Folding up would mean I could bring it up and down the stairs easier too… Oh and up off the floor ans away from the dog hair! Looks cool. Whats the price point?

  7. I want one! Graco should do a give away 🙂 Do they sell these in stores yet? I want to tell one of my expecting friends to register for this and not the ‘monkey’ one since this does so much more. One day someone will get smart and make this stuff in adult sizes. I would love to drift off to sleep being rocked and vibrated.

  8. This sounds like a great product. One I would have loved to have when my kids were babies. When I had my son my saving grace was his bouncy chair. It could bounce and vibrate. I would lose my mind when the batteries died.

I wish I had one of these when my daughter was smaller…she would not sleep in her crib but she always fell asleep in her swing or bouncer so this seems like it would have been a good idea. Will keep it in mind if I ever have baby #2
