Celebrating Earth Day | PSF

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

I can’t recall a time that I’ve actually actively pursued something to do on Earth Day (or near Earth Day). This year is going to be the exception.

E and I are going to attend The Great Cloth Diaper Change in Atlanta. This is the second year it has been done. We’re going to attempt to break the world record for the most cloth diapers changed at one time (which was set last year at the first Great Cloth Diaper Change). The combined 262 (and counting!) sites are already on our way to attempt to break last year’s Guinness World Record of 5,026 cloth diapers changed simultaneously at 127 locations in five (5) countries.

I’ve never done anything like this before and I’m pretty excited. I don’t think many people can say they participated in something that is going to break the world record. And, my little peanut will be with me to join in the record breaking.

I guess at this point, I just have one question (and there are many more than these beauties…)

Which diaper are we going to start in?

And which

diaper are we

going to change into?

I’m sure I’ll take lots of pictures while I’m there (probably instagram) and I can’t wait to share next week.

Happy Earth Day! What are you going to do to acknowledge our beautiful Earth?

*I am doing this because I want to. I’m not sponsored by any company or receiving any compensation for doing this or for posting. I just want to participate because I think it’s pretty cool!

  1. I guess this is in honor of earth day (but it also helps with my non-eat-from-metal-utensil quirk—-I am reusing the disposable plastic silverware. That’s big for me since I use it everyday, for pretty much every meal.

    1. We reuse ours too, unless a fork tine dies or gets crooked.

  2. It turns out we are going to be staying in this house for a while longer so I think I’m going to plant a rose bush or two out front this week.

This is exciting! You’ll have to let us know how it goes and the numbers! Love it! 🙂

    1. That will be nice. We have one in front of our house and the blooms are quite pretty.

  3. grandma Pat says:

What a fun event for you and E to participate in. She definately looks cute in her cloth diapers.

  4. They sure make cloth diapers look cooler than they use to! HAve a good time breaking the record! 🙂

    1. Yes, they are pretty darn cute…and yet, pretty simple, too.

  5. Didn’t attend the GCDC but sure changed a lot of diapers at home that day with 2 in cloth!
