It’s been a third of a year already

Back in the day, I had a family blog. It actually wasn’t my first one, though, this was and I came back to it. I haven’t updated that one in forever, but it’s still there. So, now I have to figure out if I want to take out some personal stuff and merge it here (I wonder if I can do it without blowing up the feed?) That place was the baby book, so I can look back and see where we stand and where your sisters were.

Why? Because you rolled over (front to back) while we were in Michigan (visiting family) before four months, and we were certain it was the earliest of our girls, sure enough it was. But, your older sisters did it shortly there after. And, then, you really shocked me when you rolled over back to front right on your 4 month birthday. I’m not sure why, because you were pretty upset once you got back on your tummy, and of course you couldn’t roll back over to your back again. (Sisters not so documented here, but I know it was much later!)

While you are a fan of your paci, you sure seem to knock it out a lot to get your hands in your mouth (again, I looked because I don’t remember and sure enough, your sisters did it, too). You do seem to find your thumb more often then they did. Mommy can’t take your thumb away, though, so let’s stick to the paci.

found your thumb

While we were in Michigan you also had your first ear infection (we thought you hated your car seat) and first visit to urgent care (it was a Saturday and we were driving home that day, so we had to see somebody). Unfortunately, that first ear infection led us to find out you were allergic to antibiotics #2 (Omnicef/cefdinir..mommy is very allergic) and #3 (azythromycin). #1 was amoxicillin/penicillin and fortunately, you aren’t allergic, but it also didn’t help your ears!

allergic reaction

{This wasn’t actually as bad as it got. It ended up on the palms of your hands and on the soles of your feet.)

We’ve gotten past the rash and now you are doing some weird cluster feeding in the evenings and at night and not sleeping your usual 13 hours like you did before our trip. {Mommy is still looking for the reset button.} I’m not convinced your ear infection is gone, but we go to the doctor this week for your well-child checkup. I’m hoping there are answers because you just aren’t your usual happy self.

You were nice enough to give me some smiles on your four month birthday. So, I thank you for that.

Happy Four Months, sweet E. Claire!

Happy 4 months E!
