Happy Fourth of July | Mommy and Me Monday (The 72nd ed).

It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids.  Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information.

We thought we’d do a little pre-4th celebration after dinner.

This meant the girls  could play with sparklers.

“Mommy, can I hold one?”

“Mommy, is it my turn?”

And, I hand them over and this is what I see…

Then, I hear “Don’t burn me mommy.”

“That’s too hot.”

“Fireworks go up in the air, you don’t hold them.”

Guess I don’t have to worry about having pyromaniacs just yet.

We hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July celebrating our nation’s independence.

I try to make sure and visit all of you and leave some comment love.  Please spread the love!  And, I never mind the comments, either:)

  1. That’s a good thing, they’re not so aggressive to hold the sparklers. Happy 4th of July to you and your wonderful family krystyn.

    1. Yep, I’m pretty okay with them not being pyromaniacs.

  2. That’s pretty much how the sparklers work out around here!

    Your girls are so funny.

  5. Yes, they are definitely looking at you like you’re NUTS!

Was it as hot there as it was here?!

    1. What’s funny is they totally asked about doing them.

And, yes, hot, but not as hot as there…well at least Houston. I wanted nothing to do with being outside while we were there.

  6. The looks on their faces tell the story, don’t they? It was quite a different story here with my boys, by the way. They were ALL ABOUT the sparklers. This could be bad…

    1. I thought the girls would be all about them, too. I’m pretty sure if the youngest was there by herself, she would have been all over them.

  7. Sparklers are illegal in New Jersey. How stupid do they think we are?

  8. I love the looks on the girls’ faces, “I’m not going near that thing!”
It was just the opposite from my boys. Now I have a son in the Army who is a mortarman and it’s his job to blow things up. I guess I should have know. =)

  9. Utterly hilarious and totally normal (if you count the fact that the same thing happened in my household to be “normal”… )

    Love their expressions!
