Hibachi Style | Mommy and Me Monday | 163rd ed
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.
It seems to have become a Serious family tradition to hit the hibachi restaurant around holidays. So, Easter brunch this year was no different. A little Japanese food to help us celebrate.
I wanted to try to get a picture of the girls and me before they started cooking and we started eating. (I’m soooo glad I used this setting. My eye has a HUGE stye on it and is so swollen and gross, but I don’t think you can see it in these pictures!) It didn’t work out so well.
Three out of the four looking isn’t bad. But, I wonder why E isn’t looking.
Aha! They were about to light the fire, and then they lit it. This progression cracks me. Up. Still trying to smile, but noticing the fire.
The girls all trying to back away from the fire (me still smiling like it’s no big deal).
And even though the fire is pretty much out, they are still terrified.
It was a tasty meal as usual. E tried to eat half of my lunch and half of Mr. Serious’ lunch, but I think she finally got full.
(Funny sidenote, our waitress asked us if Church was open on Easter. Um, yep, it’s open! Also, every time we go there, they love to touch our girls’ red curly hair. And, they talk about it the whole time.)
**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**
I try to make sure and visit all of you and leave some comment love. Please spread the love! And, I never mind the comments, either:)
Hahah! I’m cracking up at this progression of entertainment and fear. So glad Mr. Serious was snapping away – I LOVE it!
Me, too! It’s great when we capture the moments we didn’t intend to.
Looks like so much fun!
Fun…and yummy!
Hahahah awww, that progression of pics is so cute!! And what a funny question to ask, is church open on Easter. I’m Jewish and I know that, hahah!
We couldn’t help but have a little laugh.
What a fun tradition! We totally went to Dairy Queen for lunch yesterday. They just opened a new location and I was a little giddy / impatient to check it out lmao. Hope you had a nice Easter!
Oh, I hope you got a blizzard! Yum.
saw mr serious and one of the kiddos at church. glad yall had a great time 🙂
Yeah, I didn’t make it last week…E was tired and my eye wasn’t looking so good.
Love the pictures and we love Hibachi there is a place in Mcdounough we go to it looks bad on the outside but the food is the bomb. They have a deal that feeds our family of 4 where we pay 35 bucks and we get 3 types of meat, the rice, soup, and salad for two adults. The kids eat off of us because it’s so much food.
We go on Sundays because the kids eat for $3.95 and we usually get an extra meal for us out of the leftovers!
Ha! E’s faces are always so priceless. I love seeing you and your girls having a blast together.
She really is a hoot! She’s started doing this “half smile” with people she doesn’t know. Cracks me up.
We love hibachi! I haven’t taken my son since he was a baby. I wonder what he would think of it now!
Probably either love it, or terrified. But, it’s a good time, I think.
We enjoy going to the hibachi grill as well.
It’s soooo yummy! (And, so unhealthy, I’m sure, too!)
Haha, love the photos! Mostly love that you stick to it and just keep smiling for the camera lol. How fun, I love hibachi grills!
I didn’t even realize they were distracted…not sure what that says about me….
E’s face doesn’t look away. I love it!
She’s a nosey little bugger!
love the looks on their faces~!
They still crack me up!
Love the progressive photos. Glad Mr. Serious was snapping fast.
So glad he was because I couldn’t see it.
lol. So funny. we love us some hibachi grill dinners in our family
It really is sooo tasty!
Your girls are beautiful…. and so are you even with a stye. I hope that it is better by now. I used to get them and I know how painful they are. I’ve taken on a blogworld challenge. Drop by when you have a minute and see what I’m trying to do.
Have a great week.
Thank you! It’s finally better, but it did take a whole week.
Off to check out the challenge.
Oh my gosh, these pictures are hilarious! Watching their reactions to the fire is awesome. I love these photos!
I’ve had styes before too. A week and a half ago, to be exact. They are a pain in the tush! They always seem to come around times of stress. Feeling stressed lately?
Stress? Me? No? Never!
Ha. Yes, quite stressed..and not getting enough sleep. Both of which are terrible for me.

and now i need japanese food!!
You should get some! I remember having some awesome Mongolian Grill food up in Michigan…have you checked one out by you? So yummy!
