The summer gets a little crazy for us. Typically for moms it’s even crazier. The kids are home from school, they are involved in activities and the normal schedule you live by week to week is on hiatus. With that crazy, I feel like I’m pulled in more directions and needing to remind myself of what’s important (and what isn’t!) And yes, I’m stressed.

United Health Care has realized this, too. They are encouraging people to head over to their Dare to Share site and dare to live and be healthier. During the month of June they dare you to take the mini quiz and see what other feelings too much stress can cause a person. Or log some exercise (did I mention Mr. Serious and I are back to exercising at least 5 days a week…well, it’s been a week so far!)

Or, there is my personal favorite, share a picture that makes somebody smile. Sometimes, I’m surprised, but people tell me our girls make them smile. In fact, one of Mr. Serious’ coworkers was having a not-so-good day, so she went to talk to him and specifically asked for a story about our girls. And, it worked!

Even though these kiddos can drive me crazy and stress me out, they bring so much joy and happiness. And, if it works on other people, too, then I will definitely share!

That friends, is a real, authentic laugh. Only her daddy can do that!

And only mommy can get that smile!

And apparently, rolling in clean socks will get that under-the-paci-smile!

Dare you to smile

I shared a picture, took a quiz (it’s only one question) and logged some exercise. You can do one, two or all three two. For all of these dares, there is a grand prize of a $400 gift card for each of the challenges. Do you Dare to Share? What picture will you share?

that’s funny to hear about Mr. serious’ co-worker because when I am having an extra bad day at work I pull out my phone and look at pictures and watch videos of all the girls.

Laughter and Smiles are contagious! Especially those of children…their little faces just light up with both and you (at least I) just can’t help but feel happy when I see them. I think that United Healthcare’s campaign is a great one!

  6. Your kids are so adorable! And the baby…oh gosh…how could you not smile at that sweetness. 🙂
