I tried holding my breath. I really haven’t blinked.

Despite my best efforts, the first day of Kindergarten really did happen!

I promise

I’m certain it was just yesterday that I dressed you in your first outfit and broke out of that hospital. I’m certain I made lofty promises then and I’m not sure I’ve held them up. So, I’m saying them again.

Mommy and N

My promise to you.

I promised to breastfeed you for longer than you wanted. It’s okay that you quit on me.

I promise to help you eat and be healthy.

I promise to take more pictures with you.

Promises

I promise to maintain my high expectations of you.

I promise to remind you when you need a little nudge.

I promise to snuggle when you need it and when you want it.

I promise to give you everything you need (not want, just need!)

I promise to listen better.

I promise to be more patient.

I promise to be the mom that you need me to be, no matter the situation, even if it makes you mad.

I promise to do what is best for you, even if it’s not what other moms are doing.

I promise to love you forever and tell you endlessly.

Just like we make promises to our children, JOHNSON’S® Baby also makes promises so moms don’t have to worry about the products they use on their little ones. JOHNSON’S® Baby took a stand and changed their formulas* to give moms peace of mind. As these new products hit shelves, they are launching a heartfelt campaign called “Your Promise is Our Promise” as a way to express their ongoing commitment to moms.

Johnson and johnson

This promise is shown through an inspiring story told through a video called “Our Promise.” It is an open letter to moms showing JOHNSON’S® Baby scientists and their families coming together to build an origami stork mobile, symbolizing the delivery of their promise to always listen to moms. This video was inspired by a Japanese legend that folding 1,000 origami cranes will result in a wish granted and a promise fulfilled, which is thought to be a big labor of love. Their labor of love was changing their products for moms and babies.

The JOHNSON’S® Baby Family is excited to introduce you to our seven newly reformulated products:

  • JOHNSON’S® Baby HEAD-TO-TOE® Wash
  • JOHNSON’S® Baby Lotion
  • JOHNSON’S® Baby Shampoo
  • JOHNSON’S® Baby Shampoo & Conditioner for Thick and Curly Hair
  • JOHNSON’S® Baby Shampoo & Conditioner for Thin and Straight Hair
  • JOHNSON’S® Baby Shampoo with Calming Lavender
  • JOHNSON’S® Baby Soothing Vapor Baby Bath

*They have removed formaldehyde-releasing preservatives and reduce traces of 1,4 dioxane from all of our baby products, everywhere around the world. For most of their new and improved baby products, they have removed parabens – ahead of our 2015 commitment as part of our promise to you. The new and improved products will continue to roll out onto retail shelves until we meet all of our commitments.

  2. I visited Johnson’s on a blogger trip back in 2008 and some of the moms brought up being wary of the ingredients. LOVE that ruler on your wall. Did you make it?

    1. I guess it’s better that they decided to quit instead of us having to make them quit, right?

I wish I made that ruler, but I’m not that handy with tools! It’s actually from a local company and my girls measure themselves at least once a day!

  8. Time goes by incredibly fast. My daughter is about to enter first grade herself.
