It’s happening already?

I’m realizing my baby is growing up. Way. Too. Quickly.

First pigtails? Check. (See above…that was really the only picture I got.)
First black eye? Check.
Talking in 8 word sentences? Check. (She’s added on, now it’s “That’s not nice to say no to me.”)

But, this, I cannot handle.

She has taken to calling me “mom.”

“Mom, I need more milk.” “I need to scoot up, mom.”

Every time she does it, I have to correct her.

“No, sweetie, I’m mommy.”

Later, I quiz her as I point to myself. “Who is this?”

“That is mommy.”

Whew, she got it right. Yesterday.

Today?

I’m “mom” again. And it makes me sad. I shouldn’t be “mom” for at least another 20 years, right?

Fortunately, I get another go at it with Baby #2
