Little fisher-women | WW
The girls love the idea of fishing. They wanted poles and lures and worms and the whole nine yards.
Well, my aunt and my mom, they delivered!
Fishing poles and lured and hooks and real worms. All of it. And, the love it.
When did this girl get so big?
Casting and reeling, casting and reeling and repeat.
And when I was upstairs, I heard yelling. “A fish, a fish, I caught a fish!”
Yes, you did sweet girl. You caught one.
Big sister was pretty disappointed that she didn’t catch one the first day. Not to worry. She woke up at 5:30am the next morning ready to go fishing. And, fish she did. She caught 7 little guys bright and early in the morning.
I’m linking up here. Go and visit their Wordful and Wordless Wednesdays.
In our family going crabbing was a tradition in Mt. Pleasant, SC. It was so much fun spending time with my Daddy and cousins.
Did they fry up the fish?
How did they taste?
I wish, but they were so tiny we just threw them all back.
Now I was some fresh fish! Lake perch is awesome.
I bet they are having a blast! I wish we could have stayed. They threw the fish back..right? They are the perfect Iz and Nat size to catch, but I am guessing they are too small to eat!
Yep, threw them back. They were tiny.
Oh my gosh! They look so cute! 🙂
Aww…thanks:)
Little sister looks very happy about her fish–too cute! And Big sister caught 7? wow tell her she’s almost a pro 🙂
Thanks for sharing
Mandi
They were both pros by the end of the trip..just wish we could have eaten some.
So cute! She looks so proud of herself 🙂

oh my word! honey their grins are literally ear to ear!! love!!
Izzy does look so old. When did that happen? Your girls look like they are having so much fun. Enjoy every minute of your time there. Happy fishing.
Hugs, Lura
I really don’t know when it happened? I look at her and think I just had my first baby, and now she’s not baby at all (except when she thinks it’s cute to talk baby!)
We really did have a great time…but I don’t think we’ll be driving back any time soon!
Looks like a lot of fun 🙂
It was really fun watching them get so excited!
So cute! They are clearly having a blast :O)
Yes, even when it started at 5:30am!
Adorable! We love fishing too!
I never thought they’d be so into it!
They look so grown up! I remember when Dad took me fishing for the first time – I was about their age. So proud of the fishys!
If only we got to eat them!
I give your girl credit for not being scared of the fish. I remember when I was kid my sisters were terrified of the worms and would cry when someone caught a fish.
There was definitely no crying..and they liked playing with the worms.
I still love to fish and I’m glad I taught my kids to because they love it too. Some of my favorie memories are of fishing with my legs dangling over the swinging bridge at my great grandmothers farm. The only part I hated was catching this old snapping turtle that lived under the bridge..we called him old Troll because he truly was!
