Looming with my girls | Mommy and Me Monday | 266th ed

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

We’ve been bitten by the loom bug. After just one time of reading over the directions and showing the girls how it works, they are hooked. It took me longer to figure out than it did them by a long shot!

Despite N’s distracted look (she’s made a million of them) and B playing with the pieces (this is the first time she’s been allowed to be near them)!

We’ve stuck to the basics, but the nice people that send them from Friendly Bands* also have over 90 instructional videos to help out. The SunshineLoom is the first and only circular loom created to weave rubber band projects!

We have fun deciding on patterns, or not and pulling the creations off. N actually made bracelets for all of the girls in her class (she made rockets for the boys…all on her own).

Tiny little feet make it extra fun because you have to make sure the little hands attached aren’t picking up the rubber bands! (It doesn’t take three hands to do it, either. In fact, just one works and a little hook that comes with it).

And just because, a post-bath, we are so excited to have been invited to Disney Social Media Moms Celebration this year!!

No, the kids don’t know (so, shhhhhh) and we are still trying to work out all of the details! And yet still, very excited (notice the runDisney shirt, too!)

What fun have you been up to lately?

*FriendlyBands.com is offering readers a 10% discount coupon code: SunshineLoom-RAYS. Check them out on Facebook and twitter.

Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!

It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information.  Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.

**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.*

What fun have we been up to? Well, Tommy just had a bday and that was super fun. But mostly we have been busy, busy, busy.
At the end of this week we are going on spring break. And it will be our first real big spring break vacation as a family. Todd’s mom rented a condo down in FL for a few months and we are going to go and visit her. Of course we are making stops at Disney, Universal, and Legoland so the kids are SO excited. Plus, we need some time away. Our lives have been FAR too busy lately. It is going to be a VERY long car ride though, so we’ll see how that goes. 😉

    1. The car ride will make all of the memories! I remember so many road trips growing up!!

    1. They go through spurts of making like 10 at a time and then taking a break!

  5. Congrats on DSMM!!! One of my professors showed me those loom kits last year. I guess they’re all the rage with this age range. It looks fun.
