Water | Mommy and Me Monday | 334th ed
This week’s Mommy and Me Monday is brought to you by water. We saw a lot of bodies of water in a very short amount of time. It had us thinking how many things are only a couple hours away that we haven’t yet seen and how much more there is out there to see.
We waded in some water.
Went paddle boating and canoeing about seven thousand times. But, I wasn’t risking taking my phone out with us.
And reconfigured out seats and paddlers.
Sat by a garden water fountain (where a nice man named Mr. Jackson approached us, asked if he could take our picture for us and email it to us. And, I’m certain it’s the best family picture we got all weekend. Thank you Mr. Jackson for seeing that families don’t have pictures together and using your eye to get a great shot!).
We walked under and touched waterfalls. (Don’t worry, the sign says road closed for driving, there is actually a parking area and getting out and walking is encouraged.)
We walked under bigger waterfalls and barely got wet.
We handed our phone over and asked a couple to take some family shots for us after walking under the waterfall.
And then we walked 310 steps down into a gorge to stand on a suspension bridge over the most amazing view!
If you know much about stairs, you would also guess that we had to walk those same 310 steps back up out of the gorge. It was totally worth it.
All of the water and there were so many waterfalls and lakes that we didn’t have a chance to stop and discover.
This week brings yet another week of over-planned crazy, events, camps and travel. But, the summer will be over in just a couple weeks and we will be able to look back and know that we adventured.
What were you up to this week?
Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. It was a great weekend
The area you were visiting looks absolutely beautiful
And it felt so much cooler, too! The air is so much cooler and fresher!
So beautiful!!! That park is on the way to Hiawasee, which I have passed so many times.
Have you ever stopped in? Next time, do it!
Looks like fun! We had a bit of water fun – letting the kids splash in a misting zone and wade in a manmade creek at a local museum.
That sounds equally as fun!
Wow what a great trip! It looks like so much fun. I love that the paddle boats had a shade on it.
