When a week turns out not how you expected or how you planned (and it wasn’t even really planned), you just sort of roll with it. And, what ends up happening is more survival mode. And, it’s okay to have survival mode. Because sometimes that ends up being more fun because you let down some guards and just try to get through.
I made a video with the little two and I dancing to “Can’t Stop the Feeling.” We had a make your own pizza bar night. And even came up with a fun and delicious apple dessert. For some reason the unexpected and unplanned just ends up better than I could have planned.
That also means that Mommy and Me Monday pictures don’t happen until the very last minute and it’s totally okay! Because they turned out pretty perfect!
And despite the fact that my forearms are absolutely killing me to the point of not wanting to use a fork, I managed to hold up my big girl camera and take an us-ie and I kind of sort of see myself about 25 years ago.
Then, the next big gets called out and Mr. Serious grabs the camera and we are all in the picture and all in focus and I see two awesome and amazing kids…that I need to tell more often that they are just that! Because if I’m being honest, the unplanned and unexpected still leaves me a little more stress out, a little more exhausted and quite possibly a little more yell-y.
Here’s to upping my game this week with the compliments, but keeping high standards and momming so hard!
What were you up to this week?
Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information.
