Mother’s Day Tea | Mommy and Me Monday | 377th ed

I’ve checked off one more Mother’s Day Tea / Luncheon. Which means I have only one more to go! Wow, does time fly. It’s a fun treat that the kids work on and plan for over a month. E asked me at least 5 times a day for a week if I remembered what time I had to be there. Yes. Noon. You won’t let me forget.

They had a nice little lunch made for the moms with some fun artwork and a placemat and a fun game of guessing which picture was us that was drawn by our child. The freckles were the dead giveaway for me. It was a nice little treat for my afternoon spending lunch with just her.

One of my favorite “prizes” was my mom questionnaire. Never mind that she made me older than I am. Everything else is totally melt-mommy-worthy. And the fact that I might have been like 3 minutes late because I was making sure I was dresses appropriately for Mother’s Day Tea and I had on my LipSense, and she said that’s when I looked my prettiest. Well, sheesh, it’s dusty in here or something because my eyes are leaking.

So, we had to come home and snap some picture with my placemat and her beautiful face and artwork and in my super comfy and pretty dress while wearing lipstick. What I wear and how I dress doesn’t have an immediate impact, but it’s interesting to note that they feel proud when I’ve got my a little makeup on (seriously, mascara, LipSense and a little brows).

I asked N to grab a picture of just me with my dress (yeah, you can’t see the whole thing, but it’s by prAna and it’s called the Amelie. It’s comfortable, sustainable clothing and it’s super cute and a great fit.) More importantly, I felt comfortable in it and like I could be myself. (Scroll down for a coupon code on their site).

While I had a fancy, handmade and prepared lunch, E had her lunch from school. After packing preschool lunches for over 5 years now, I know that they will be a hit with Stonyfield Farms YoKids Squeezers.
