We had a big success for the littlest in the Serious house this week. I won’t name names or tell what it was, but it’s been worthy of celebration. So, after they had a hot day at camp with indoor and outdoor activities, we headed to Swirl World at our closest RaceTrac for their own special treat creations. (Yes, all of the girls got to celebrate! It has definitely been a family event!)

With frozen treats including frozen yogurt, ice cream and Italian ice combined with more than 40 topping to choose from, the Swirl World creation possibilities are endless.

When were at the Braves game last week, I saw signs for Fill Up Your Helmet Cup for $5, but I thought we had to get the cups at the stadium. Turns out, we were able to grab them inside of RaceTrac, too. So, I said, “get a cup and fill it up with whatever you want!” They were pretty much the most excited they’ve been in a while because we don’t do this type of thing! Usually I’m telling them to stop and not get too much of one thing and making sure they get fresh fruit, but I let them go all out.

There are always fun new flavors and swirls, so everybody likes to use the little tester cups first to make sure it’s a good flavor before diving right in.  I appreciate that they label their flavors and that they had two non-dairy flavors (sorbet and Italian ice).

Once the flavor was decided and they were committed, they filled those caps up. It’s usually $0.44/ounce.

I’m thinking we broke out on top with the fill their own cups. It was still quite the splurge of a treat and all of their eyeballs were bigger than their stomachs.

The excitement is visible, but thankfully, they let me snap a picture before diving right in. They were already en route to the tables while I went to pay!

It’s nice that there are tables and some chairs set up at RaceTrac so we could eat there instead of trying to eat in the car or eat at home with it melting on the way.

This was a couple days after my juice cleanse, so I didn’t partake, but I got a bite of the ice and sorbet and a coupe sour patch kids. So, I was pretty excited about that.

They definitely enjoyed their treats and were quite full. I’m now itching to go back and get my own helmet full of Italian Ice with a bunch of raspberries and strawberries…and maybe a couple Sour Patch Kids!

RaceTrac is running a two-month promotion celebrating (and discounting) Swirl World in June and July this summer. Guests have the choice of a cup, sugar cone or waffle cone. These promotions vary by location, but in Atlanta, the Swirl World In-Store Promotion consists of:

JUST DO IT! Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up! It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. B’s sorbet looks delicious. I remember taking the girls to Race Trac for ice cream when I was watching them while you were in New Orleans. It was fall so they had green apple sorbet which you could swirl with Caramel flavored ice cream. It was delicious. I am going to have to see if the Race Trac by us has an ice cream bar.

  3. Does every Race Trac have Swirl World? DO they have a sign out front letting you know if they do? I need gas, so I am thinking while the tank is filling up I go inside and fill up a cone for me!
