Mommy and Me Monday | The 200TH EDITION

TWO HUNDREDTH EDITION! Did you all see that? It’s been almost three years since starting Mommy and Me Monday. Sure we used to have weeks where there were 30+ link ups, and now we are down to like 5-8. But blogging has changed. So far, I’m not giving up with no plans to change.
It totally snuck up on me, but yet, worked out perfectly! This weekend, we went to the Georgia Aquarium with these big girls. It is actually amazing that we were able to get them to all look at the camera and away from the beluga whales.
Why perfectly? Because the very first Mommy and Me Monday was at the Georgia Aquarium almost three years ago! Look how tiny my oldest two were. So very little.
While we were waiting to meet a mermaid from Weeki Wachee Mermaids for the Festival of the SEAson, the girls feel in love with the Beluga whales. E just kept screaming and squealing. They were so excited by the whales and other fish that listened to the mermaid read The Night Before Christmas and then wanted to go right back to the whales. No mermaid pictures for them.
E and daddy enjoyed checking out the gigantic whale sharks, too (I just love those pigtails…bottom left of the picture). And, the fact that there were riser lie seats so I didn’t have to sit on the ground (it’s a long way up!)
I lucked out that I actually got another one of the three of them, too. Even if they are Zoolander posing.
This not-posed, totally happened picture might be my favorite from the entire trip. Al three girls using their computers to learn about the fish in this aquarium. Lined up in a row tallest to smallest. It’s totally them!
We also went and saw the Dolphin Tales show with the Weeki Wachee Mermaids pre-show (no photos allowed). The girls loved both of them, with the dolphins being their favorite. The dolphins performing were also my favorite part, but I wish they had also presented some facts on them, too.
I love that Mommy and Me Monday has been going on for 200 editions and so many of you have been along for the ride! I hope you continue to join in and spread the word. So many people say they wish they were in the pictures, and maybe this year you’ll have the initiative to jump in and get in your pictures.
**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**

Aww that’s a great photo of all of you! I know how hard it is to get everyone looking at the same time! I’ve been wanting to take my girls to the aquarium for a long time now! They’ve never been before!

i don’t think i could participate. i never have pics of me with the kids 🙁 and i NEED to do something about that!
About two days after I got home from Atlanta and Type-A, I got an email from the aquarium asking me to visit. Doggone it! Actually, I had already kinda planned on going there next year when I’m back in town for Type-A again. 🙂
Glad the girls had such a fun time! (And I got your note about you being cranky and I’m totally with you on that. It’s annoying!)
PS. Blogging has totally changed since you and I first met, but aren’t we glad it can actually be a form of employment now rather than a hobby?!!
Mommy and Me Monday is a fantastic idea, documenting your time with them every week. It’s amazing how they change so much in so little time. So often we take pictures of the kids and we are nowhere to be found
This made me want to go to the aquarium! We haven’t been in a while and if I could go without the kids and just sit and watch for hours I would love that!
My kids would have loved this when they were younger. I will have to see if I can find someone to take some photos of the kids and I.

Happy 200th! It’s neat that you took your first and 200th pictures for this series at the same location. These Mommy and Me posts remind me that I need to take more photos with my kid – something to work on in the new year!

I love Mommy & Me days with my daughter – we always find something fun to do, even if it’s just taking a walk around the neighborhood 🙂 I give you a LOT of credit for sticking with something for 200 editions!! I always have good intentions, but never seem to keep a solid schedule like that.
