My monkeys…jumping in the bed

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

Jumping in the bed is strictly forbidden.

We never let the girls do it.

And, yet, they still insist on doing it.

Repeatedly.

So today, I savored it.  I didn’t say no.  I said jump.

And, they did.  And they tackled.  And built a fort.  And had fun.  And acted silly.

Just like kids.

In that moment?  Mommy wasn’t rule mommy.  Mommy was fun mommy.

(One day, I will be that mommy that can also take low light pictures that aren’t blurry and fuzzy…until then, I think we all get the point!)

    1. Oh, we like to do the puddles, too! As long as they are wearing playing clothes!

  5. I didn’t think about your pictures being anything less than perfect until you mentioned it. What a shame. They are perfect. I am glad you let them jump on the bed. Life is too short to always say no! Jump little girls and have fun : )

  13. grandma Pat says:

Fun, Fun, Fun. They are both so cute. I love the picture of N with her tongue out, love the outfit too. Are those socks or tights? Aunt Theresa used to let Keegan and Taylor jump on the beds when they stayed at hotels. Kids love to jump.

  14. LOVE this. What a good mommy you are for letting them be silly. Hard to do for me at times, too. Bet you had a much fun as they did. Letting go is “freedom”. See you Monday at our shoot. Can’t wait to get my camera on those ginger babies.

    1. We had such a great time! The girls are still talking about it.

Can’t wait to see what you got!

    1. Thanks, girl!

It was pretty cheap, too! Even better that I don’t mind if they play in it!

  15. Every once in a while, it’s so much better to just not say “NO” all the time, isn’t it? Although, the next time they jump on the bed you’re going to have to face the music and the “But MOM you let us last time!” routine. Always super fun though.

    1. I know…I’m just waiting for the “but mom…”

So, now, I just tell them to play in their rooms, so if I can’t see them, I pretend I don’t know they are doing it!

      Win-win!

  16. And jumping in a tutu makes it even more fun! 🙂
I love it when I get to be fun mommy. 🙂

    1. Awwww….thanks, girl:)

I ‘m pretty sure my heart matched that same sentiment.

  17. Love this! Looks like they had an absolute blast! We must be on the same wave – I posted about a little savoring and fort/tent building too for PSF. 🙂

  18. Once in a while, you just have to let the rules go out the window (or maybe just perch on the sill for a while…)

I love that pink dress, and the Dr.Seuss-looking tights. 🙂

If you figure out how to take good low light pictures, please share….

    1. Every once and a while…that’s all I can manage.

Ummm…I have a feeling you will beat me to figuring out the low light pictures.
