On having a role model…and being one.

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

Mama.  Mommy.  Mom.  Mother.

The progression through the years of the names you call your mother.

A good mother will be a positive role model in your life.

She will encourage you to love yourself, love the way you look, find love, be proud of yourself and be an entrepreneur.  She will tell you to work hard, and love harder.  She will push you to your potential and beyond and always remind you to not settle.  She will have the highest of expectations for you.  She will love you unconditionally.

She will be just like my mom.

Mom and Me

And, now, with my girls?  I want to be the best role model I can be for them.  I can show them that it’s scary, but you have to put yourself out there and follow your dreams.  They will see their mommy work hard, but hopefully, play hard, too.  If that’s not being a positive role model for your kids, I don’t know what is.
