The girls have been into playing together and pretend play lately. Thank goodness. And doing it fairly well (yes, we still have sharing issues…it’s a work in progress).
Recently we were sent an Our Generation doll and RV Seeing You Camper for the girls. When they opened the box and saw what was inside, they went nuts. I didn’t even know they had that much excitement in them! There was a lot of box tearing, plastic attachy-things-removing and tape unsticking, but when they finally got it all out, they couldn’t stop playing with it.
The pictures don’t do this doll justice. She is a whopping 18″ tall. That’s like almost the size of my children when they were born. She came with two outfits, a school-girl outfit and a sports outfit. They both enjoyed changing her outfit, but they did get frustrated with the skirt and stopped using it. It is only perfectly sized for her, and the velcro isn’t very sticky, so the skirt wouldn’t stay on her. Maybe adding elastic would help?
The RV? Has pretty much been everywhere in our house. All of the dolls that we own have slept in it, too (they were beyond thrilled to discover the couch folds out to a bed). There’ve been quite a few sleepovers.
The R.V. Seeing You Camper is a luxury camper includes everything a doll needs for life on the road, including a mini kitchen, dishes, two stools, a bed and bedding. Our middle daughter thinks that it has to be set up, just so. In fact, she will constantly play with it, and then set it up so that it matches the book and picture that came with it.
Apparently, when a toy comes with pictures, that is exactly how it should be set up! She was super impressed with herself.
There are also two other summer-themed accessories (made for the 18” dolls) including the
Travel Luggage Accessory Set – Everything your doll needs for jet-setting around the world!
“Off the Beaten Path” bundle, including an 18″ doll, jeep, tent, and all the necessary camping accessories to cozy up next to a campfire.
Thank you to Our Generation for providing the doll and RV for our review. All thoughts are my own.
