When I saw the look on Mr. Serious’ face, I just knew something wasn’t right. And right then? I. lost. it.

All of the week’s activities and emotions caught up with me.

I was scared to ask him what happened and why he was inside the airport, instead of waiting outside like he planned.

He said BIL drove him.

“That’s weird. Why did BIL drive you?” (BIL lived in the city that Mr. Serious was picking me up in.)

Mr. Serious said “Everything is okay, but I was in an accident.”

“Then, why did BIL drive you?”

“He had to pick me up from the hospital.”

And, I lost it all over again.

“I t-boned another truck that pulled out in front of me (the other driver was at a red light) while I was going 60mph. Some witnesses said I lost consciousness, so I had to ride via ambulance to the hospital.”

“Ambulance? Hospital? T-boned? Are you okay?”

“Yes, I’m okay, the airbags went off and I’m sore, but I’m okay.”

“And, your truck?”

“Oh, it’s totaled, no doubt.”

While sitting in the middle seat of BIL’s single cab truck with a manual transition on the way to Mr. Serious’ truck to get his belongings, it hit me.

Taylor was there with him. She made sure he was safe. She made sure he got off the road, and out of his truck and walked away from the scene of the accident. I just know she had to be.

I’m convinced that God worked through her to make sure that Mr. Serious safely made it out of a situation that could have ended very gravely.

And, I was and am so very thankful for my guardian angel.

Do you think you have a guardian angel? Do you have a story?

A friend in college jumped into a shallow pool of natural water and broke his neck. A man rescued him from the water, and he distinctly remembers seeing him. But, nobody else saw the man. Nobody saw our friend get rescued and there were people there. Definitely his guardian angel.

  2. I have goosebumps from reading that amazing story. Thank you so much for sharing.

We had a similar encounter. We had three generations driving in our car on a rainy day, going just over the speed limit. A car quickly pulled out from a side road to turn in the opposite direction. There wasn’t enough space. He was going to hit us head on and we all knew it. But somehow, he didn’t. He missed us by about 1/2 an inch. We all knew at that moment that it was our Guardian Angel that kept us safe.

  3. What an inspirational story woman. Thank you so much for sharing! I get chills when I read things like this because I believe we ALL have a guardian angel (whether we are good or bad ppl). I dont have a good story or anything but I know I have lots of guardian angels (mom, uncle, 2 gpas, 1 gma, etc). But even with all of those guardians…I know that the Big Man is our biggest guardian!

  20. I’ve always believed in guardian angels. I think God assigns an angel to each of us when we are born. And of course our family members in heaven are our angels too.
I remember when I was little my mom told me to name my angel so that if I ever need her I can call on her. That was such a comforting thing to me. I love that idea. 🙂

  21. Wow that is amazing he was pretty much unhurt! I would DEFINITELY say he had yours and his guardian angel looking out for him that day. 🙂
