Our little family of four
#1 has really taken to drawing our little family of four lately.
Girls typically get triangle bodies and a long strand of hair on each side of their face.
Daddy gets a mohawk? Â Or maybe it’s a feather? Â I can’t tell…and she can’t tell me, either!
During dinner preparations this week, she wanted to “cut stuff out.”
So, she cut out little pieces, then drew “us” on them. Â She then grabbed the tape, wadded it up and somehow managed to get these pictures to stick to the cabinet above our kitchen sink.
I’m not sure why, but I got a little misty-eyed. Â I don’t think I always take the time to appreciate our little family of four and all they can do.
But, in that moment, I did! Â Feather, stick hair and all!

That is an EXCELLENT feather. Mohawk. Whatever. He should be proud as punch that she sees him that way!! 🙂
Oh, he totally is way beyond proud!
That is really precious!
So who is it that had her face colored in? 🙂
I’ll have to ask..but my guess is she “messed up” something on the face and that’s the result
adorable drawings!
I LOVE the precious pieces my kids make for me and always scan and save a copy in a file on my external hard-drive so I can hold on to every memory 🙂
Why don’t I think to do this? Genius.
And, since I can’t comment with Disqus, doing it here.
RE: school stuff. Doesn’t it stink that it costs that much. But, for senior pictures, you shouldn’t have to pay anything for the picture in the yearbook. And, really, what a rip off the ones through the school are. I wish there were options like there are now with digital cameras, etc. I would have had totally different pictures done for much cheaper.
And to people that say stuff about the number of kids, what jerks. Seriously. Jerks.
Your little artist is so sweet…I’d get teary-eyed, too!
Yeah, she’s pretty sweet:)
OHHHH!!! Family pictures!! They are simply priceless!!! What a great great job!
She’s becoming quite the artist:)
Such an artist! We like the flowers she drew for us….and we are both curious, did she draw two on purpose? One for me and one for David?
Confession…I don’t know who those flowers were for..I just thought you’d like them, so I passed them on.
Those girls are Amazing gifts from God
cute pictures and soooooo sweet – I love the one of the 2 girls holding hands – maybe dad has 1 strand of hair because he keeps his so short – I agree with Mr. Serious, they are an amazing gift from God
I love kids art 🙂 Kaye—the road goes ever ever on
aw very sweet!
Adorable! So important to appreciate these little moments.
Dear Krystyn,
I am so glad that you take time out of your busy life to appreciate the joys of being a parent to little ones. Enjoy their precious art treasures.
I saved most of the holiday art work my children made when they were young. I laminated many of the pieces and I still put them out to decorate for holidays. They make me smile and remind me of days long gone.
Have a great week end. Hugs, Lura
I never remember to save it long term…laminate, scan it, etc. I guess I forget to be sentimental!
Thinking of you on your trip home!
How sweet!
This shows how much love you all have.
You brought tears to my eyes.
Ahhh…thanks.
Yeah, we love each other a lot.
mama sap 🙂
love it!
