And now the collective “awwwwww….” | WW

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

It seems that this baby is the baby for doing things differently and having many first (so, I’m backwards…at least I know it).  This is the first time we’ve had a 3D/4D ultrasound, found out the gender before our baby was here, first time we’ve actually purchased a crib with special new bedding, painted a room especially for her, and I’m pretty sure there is more.

So, it should come as no surprise that I wanted to capture that little girl growing (and man is she growing) into that enormous bump and capture the girls’ love for their sister.  Oh, and the hubby’s and my love, too!

The week before Christmas we had some family and maternity portraits taken.  I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’d never had maternity shots done before.  I wanted some that weren’t your typical shots that captured our family the way we are; silly, comfy and enjoy each other’s company (well, let’s be honest, at least like 90% of the time).

I think it’s safe to say these came out way better than I ever could have imagined!

The family pictures came out great.  I think you can see the true joy in all of our faces.  That’s good photography.

Now, if only those two girls would keep their fingers out of my belly button (they are obsessed with it…and it’s painful!)  But, in seriousness, the nicest thing said was “your girls are so photogenic!”  I can’t help but grin at that.

Even our cat tried to steal the spotlight.  She’s a stinker like that (and if I had money to put on it, I’d bet she’s upstairs laying in our baby girl’s crib getting her hair all over the place.  It’s a good thing she’s appropriately named “Sassy!”)

Yeah, she’s pretty much obsessed with the belly button. She was about to poke it again here, too. Fortunately, the picture was snapped right before, so now it looks cute and sweet (only I will know that she was about to jab me in the most tender spot on my entire belly).

And, because things were going so well with the girls and Sandra’s starting point was and still is as a child photographer,  there are some really cute shots of my girls, too…just being them…two seconds later the oldest had her arms and hands clamped around her sister’s head.

I can’t wait for our little girl to get here and have Sandra take her newborn portraits, too.  I’ve got to find some of those cute floppy little hats all of the newborns are wearing.

Are you in Atlanta?  If so, Sandra is offering Really, Are You Serious? 50% off session fees for new clients and one (1) 5×7 and four (4) wallets with a booked session (just let her know when you book your session that you saw her here!)

*Sandra came and took our family’s pictures.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

    1. I’m totally with you…not a fan of the staging. I know there is some arranging that goes on, but the real smiles are way better.

Beautiful pictures. I also must comment on some past postings. I happened to win the popcorn give away. I can’t tell you how good the popcorn is and almost was (can’t stop eating it). I especailly liked the cinnamon. I also just rented “The Help” from Redbox. The movie was great. Even Joe liked it. I think he laughed at it more than me.
We can’t wait for the new arrival either.
