Mommy and Me Monday recently has been quick shots snapped by my iPhone. Often the front camera. With terrible lighting and grainy darkness. And those are perfectly acceptable pictures, because they capture me, the mommy, with my kiddos. So when they look back, they see me in the pictures, too! I know blogging is all about being vain, but really, I do most of this for them.
But, every once and a while, you need to call in the big guns. The person that knows what they are doing with their camera and their lights and photoshop. This time, that person was Amy from Pixel Clicks. Amy, also of Marvelous Mommy, and I have been blogging friends for a while now. Before B was born, I asked her to come and take newborn pictures. She happily said yes! And, I happily breathed a sigh of relief knowing I wouldn’t have to try to do birth announcement pictures.

While we were trying to get B to fall asleep (she never did, by the way), I was doing some sushing, and Amy was sneaky and got a picture. I hadn’t quite worked my magic. These are the kinds of shots that I would never thing to have, but I’m glad I do. Because who has a picture of them trying to calm their newborn?
And, then there were SIX! Six who are hard to capture. But you know what? Why not have a picture that really captures all of you? (And, how is it with all of these good looking ladies, Mr. Serious is the one that looks the best?) Gosh they are goobers!
This one…squinty eye and pursed little lips and that bright red hair? Already wrapped around her little finger.
These four girls? Pretty sure like 90% of the time we are both wrapped around their fingers…or are they wrapped around ours?
I’m so very grateful to Amy for coming over to our house and capturing these pictures of us and our girls! She was so patient with our craziness and fun to have here. Check out Pixel Clicks Photography on Facebook, too!

Oh my goodness…. what darling pictures. They surely make me smile. I wish that we lived closer and I could help you with your babes. What a lovely family. It has been 11 days since my surgery and I am feeling better each day. I was told not to drive for 2 weeks so I feel a bit house bound but I’m doing more each day. Oh B You sure know how to make accessories absolutely adorable! WAIT…YOU are adorable! Your sisters love you so much. It is so sweet to see. And your mom and dad…hands down THE most amazing, loving, smart, kind, funny, strong and wonderful people in our family! I keep saying it but I will say it again…your Aunt Emily can’t wait to meet you! I am thinking March. Hopefully Logan is good in Feb and is welcome back 🙂

How adorable! I love these pics & the family one is great! I wish I would’ve done newborn pics professionally for my first baby, but he was so colicky & the adjustment was hard, so we never did. 🙁
I can’t wait to do newborn pics for baby girl! These are so adorable! I’m such a sucker for families in matching outfits-lol we did a photo shoot (matchy matchy) for the holidays!!
Lizzie’s one month pictures, I have on of me trying to shush her. We went to Target and my MIL was with us and impatient or unsupportive, but either way wouldn’t let me know nurse, which is what Lizzie really wanted. We did get some okay shots. But afterwards my MIL said, well if you would have brought a bottle she would have been better. Hopefully she will be better this time around since my SIL nursed her first & she seemed more supportive with her.
