A random bulleted list
-It troubles me terribly to hear anybody, especially a child say the word “gimme.” For example “gimme a banana,” “gimmie my milk.” It is so rude.
-So, obviously, when I hear people at a restaurant or fast food place say “gimmie a number 5” or “gimmie a large lemonade” it also annoys me terribly, too!
-Yesterday on my way to work, I saw a truck that was for a Crime scene clean up company. Never have I seen one of these before and never have I seen the words “$uicide, un@ttended de@th and rnurder” in one place. (I know that looks crazy, but I don’t want crazy people coming to read about those things here!)
-What is an un@ttended de@th anyways? How can nobody be there if there is a death? That doesn’t make sense to me.
-I’m pretty sure that job is not on anybody’s list as “what I want to be when I grow up.”
-Then, I immediately started thinking about Pulp Fiction. You know, when they call somebody to “take care of the car?” (I thought about putting an image here, but it was just too gross.)
-In high school, we did a dance in drill team to a song that was in Pulp Fiction. Our drill team director had no idea it was playing during the scene with the g!mp. Pretty sure there would have been a song change after that.
-And then I remembered my internship at a toxicology lab at the medical examiners office. There will be a post on a Darwin Award winner coming from that memory.
-The pumpkin spice lattes are now at the Bucks. But, we are starting to do the Dave Ramsey budget and I feel bad about spending $4.
-Where can I get a free Starbucks gift card? Anybody have any ideas?
-#2 is really growing up. She has decided that she likes cups now and will drink from them.
-I’ve decided that she can still be my baby for a while longer and I’m giving her bottles still at home. It’s totally me, I know.
-Consistently, #1 will say “may I please have…” when she wants something. I’m so glad we are finally to that point. Sometimes she slips, but it is so nice when she remembers her manners.
-When in Houston, I got two shaved ices from two different places. Both blue bubble gum. One was perfect. One was so gross I threw it away. We won’t be going back to that place.
-I will lose some weight. I will lose some weight. I will lose some weight.
-How is it Labor Day already?
-And, why don’t we have any plans?
-Thank goodness for the three day weekend.

You should watch the movie "Sunshine Cleaning". It's about two sisters who own a crime scene clean up company. We watched it last week and it's pretty good!

Pumpkin spice lattes = yum! But I agree…the price tag? Not so good! We usually buy the spiced pumpkin coffee creamer…it's so good!
And I was laughing so hard about the truck…haha! I've never seen one either! Although I just watched Sunshine Cleaning…it was pretty good.
And N is drinking from a cup?! Where did the time go? I remember when you were pregnant and wanting a margarita…

have you ever signed up for swagbucks? you use it instead of like google when you want to search for something and you randomly get bucks and then cash them in for gift cards and other stuff. its easy and its not like you're doing anything extra. they have starbucks GCs as rewards

Gimme irritates me too. "Fixin' to" is one I've caught myself saying that I don't like.
Maybe un@ttended de@th is where someone is by themselves and falls off a roof or gets electr0cuted by an appliance or slips and hits their head/breaks neck. Ok, I really don't want to think of any other ways.:)
I'm glad I'm not a coffee drinker because I couldn't go $4 either right now, and also right now I don't live within a hundred miles of one. (They do make a great hot chocolate though.)
Lastly (before this comment looks like it's own blog), I can't believe it's Labor Day either, this year is flyin' by! And btw, I myself have been doing the 'I will lose some weight' chant too.
Pumpkin spice lattes = yummy, $4 for one, not so much! International Delights has a seasonal coffee creamer that is pumpkin spice flavored. We buy that for our coffee at home and it satisfies my cravings for pumpkin spice lattes (and it doesn't break the bank)!
I can't remember the gimp scene but I bet the song rocked! We were a very LDS based type high school (not LDS personally) so we had a lot of G, PG music so yeah Pulp Fiction would have sent people running to church! LMAO
As for the weight sister…I am with you there….still got 50lbs to lose. In time, but hey the hubs still thinks I'm hot so that helps!

Bullet thoughts are great because that's what really goes on in our heads! I love the pumpkin spice too…have you tried the chai tea latte?? Hmmmm YUM! $4 once in a while isn't so bad is it?? You deserve it!
I'm not a fan of gimmie either. I notice a lot of people say it when ordering. If I were the waitress I'd be tempted to say, "No. You may not have that until you ask politely…"
You know what I don't like? Budgets. Why is it that all the fun stuff doesn't fit into one? And why does it seem like everyone else still fits the fun stuff in?
Oh my gosh, gimme drives me insane too. We don't even use the word in our house so the kids don't pick it up.
What a fun post….so many things can bug us…and I agree with you. I would not want to be a cr!me scene cleaner upper either. I can not think of a worse job…just the smells would do me in. We have two friends who were detectives with the police dept. They said the hardest part was not seeing the blood and dead bodies…they said the hardest part was the smells. Now how did I get on such a gross subject????

I don't like "gimme" either. Plus, I always feel bad for people working drive-thrus because I figure that they deal with a TON of rude people every day so I always try to ask for things (i. e. "Can I have a…." followed with lots of "thank yous")
I think un@ttended death is when someone dies and they don't find them for a while (gross, huh?) so it requires a major clean-up.
Random story: one of my college roommates had a friend who came to visit her and that's what he did for a living.
Also, bubblegum sno cones fall into one of two categories: DELICIOUS or DISGUSTING. There is no in between.
