Seventh Generation Toxin Freedom Fighters #FightToxins

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Seventh Generation. I received a promotional item and product samples as a thank you for participating.

Did you know that the Toxic Substances Control Act hasn’t been evaluated since 1976! That needs to change, after all it’s been 37 years and it’s failing to protect the health of all of us! There are so many things that we are creating and putting into our environment that aren’t good for us. Or for our little people.I value these little people too much to be okay with that!

How I’m hoping to help.

I’m joining in with the Toxin Freedom Fighters Campaign along with Seventh Generation. Their goal is to collect 100,000 signatures and deliver them to Congress on April 30, 2014. So it’s getting close! The idea is that that signatures will strengthen the movement behind chemical reform and encourage our Congress men and women to change these laws.

Why I care.

There are more than 80,000 synthetic chemicals that have been introduced to the market since the TSCA was passed in 1976. Because of this, the EPA only requires testing on less than 10%! Yuck!

What that means to me.

Those chemicals can do harmful things do our bodies. Irreversible things. Scary things. In fact, scientists have linked exposure to toxic chemicals to many health risks, such as Cancer, Alzheimer’s, learning disabilities, asthma, birth defects, and various reproductive problems!

How can you help make a change?

Join me in signing the Toxin Freedom Fighters Campaign and become a Seventh Generation Toxin Freedom Fighter. Push for change. Get the TSCA revised. Show law makers that we care and that we want to make a difference.
