She grew overnight!

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

One day, #1 is playing with her shoes and they are ginormous. The next day, she puts them on, and they fit. I was floored.

And, sad because her cute little tennis shoes that grandma bought her no longer fit (and she only wore them a couple times).

So, we had to make a quick trip to my favorite bulls-eye store to pick up some new ones (because I’m not going to buy more expensive ones for her to out-grow immediately).

I put her little foot on the measuring mat, and it said she was a 9! At the beginning of the summer, a 7 was too big. And, with a size 9, those little velcro shoes looked so baby-ish. So, now she has the real deal. Real tennis shoes that tie.

And, she looks like such a big girl…*tear*

And, she’s still a goofball.

I still want her to be my baby, but I know she’s going to keep growing and growing. Just another little milestone on the journey of life. (But, if she could stay little without the sass for a while longer, that would be great, too.)

  1. Isn't she the cutest little thing…they grow so fast. I just bought a size 4 for my 7 yr old daughter and a men's size 10 for my 11 yr. old son. Just a little warning…the prices get higher the larger their feet are. *sigh*

  2. It does happen overnight, doesn't it? She's just adorable, and the shoes are great!

  3. The last picture is so cute – like she's working out! Why does it seem like their feet will stay the same size for months and then in one week grow 2 sizes??

  4. Oh my goodness – that's seriously amazing! Izzy, you sure are becoming a big girl REALLY fast. And, you better slow down because Mommy's not OK with it!

  14. ISn't it crazy…at the beginning of the summer Luke could wear his size 8 shoes, but a couple of weeks ago he wore them and got the ugliest blood blister on the end of his big toe. Owwwie. Yes, I'm a bad mom. Luckily, we had another pare of shoes (size 9) that he is wearing now (and probably will out grow within the month).

Isn't she such a cute big girl!

  15. My Punky was a SIX last summer. She's a full 9 now. It must be the age. I was floored, too! She's always been tall, 75% for height, but I didn't expect her to grow so fast. She also was a 3T last summer and now she's pushing a FIVE in girls, not a 5T (although she can still wear some of them!). It's so bittersweet, so I'm totally feeling this post!

  16. I know, I know….They grow too fast!
