Silly faces with my monkey | Mommy and Me Monday | 188th ed
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.
E and I are still trying to figure out what to do on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays when her sisters are at school. Pretty much every day we go for a walk, and we read a million and two books, but she’s not quite at the full on playing age, and doesn’t always participate in “free play!”
We’ve worked on many of the obvious body parts (head, ears, eyes, mouth, nose, belly, hands, toes etc), but I thought it would be fun to teach her some other ones, too. For example, we’ve done elbow, fingers (which I have her do jazz fingers for), and teeth and tongue! When I ask where her tongue is, she always sticks it out. And, yes, I always laugh, but it’s too cute. Sometimes I join her.
When I ask her where her teeth are, she gives the biggest cheesiest smile with her teeth clenched together. I wasn’t able to capture it, but this was the tale-end and it totally cracked me up, too!
I’m trying to figure out some other ones to teach her. I guess we could work on shoulders and knees and then we could do the whole song. Yep, that’s what I’ll do next. Although, my goal for this week is to get a picture with my big girls, too because they’ve been hiding lately!
Super cute!
Awww…. so sweet 🙂
I just linked up for the first time!
Thank you! so glad you joined in (from one CD momma to another!)
Red LOVES to hear that song, but ends up sticking his feet in the air, or pulling on his toes, which leaves no time for those other silly body parts 🙂
Haha! I can just see him doing that! Awesome.
Love that face 🙂
She’s definitely silly!
Love making silly faces in the camera. So cute.
Happy Times.
Her little tongue is so darn cute! I think my favorite is teeth as well. She makes sure the whole world can see her chompers!
She does seem to have a million of them.
oh my word these are too cute!! E looks so big with her big toothy grin!
Doesn’t it seem like she has way more teeth than she should have?
aww cute!
Love her big smile and that mischief twinkle in her eye! This little girl knows how to have fun.
You are so right about that mischievous twinkle. She definitely has that.
I call my little one Monkey, too!
It’s just such a good nickname.
oh my goodness i love love love the body part stage! like they get so excited every time they get one right?!? the sweetest!!
You should hear her say “elbow” now…freaking adorable!
