Tracking PixelI love getting together with friends and family and being social. But, I also like to prepare easy and delicious dishes everybody will enjoy. Last week, I had a chance to attend a “Ladies Night” with games and good food. I couldn’t believe how versatile the Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry is. This is a sponsored post, but I had such a great time learning about all of the fun ways to prepare Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry and making my own recipe that I would share them with you anyways!

Ladies Night with Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry

I was amazed to see that you can make a savory dish, a meal and a dessert all starting with Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry. From chicken salad and bread stick like fingers to elephant ears to hazelnut spread snacks. The possibilities really are endless. I know that my girls would have gravitated to the strawberry shortcake like cups because they love whipped cream and strawberries. The elephant ears are more my thing.

After the Ladies Night, we were given a box of Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry sheets to come up with something fun at home. I decided to go with simple, easy and sweet! These cinnamon sugar pinwheels were the perfect thing for me to make with my limited puff pastry skills. They came out perfectly, were flaky and sweet!

I removed the box from the freezer and allowed the sheets to thaw at room temperature for 30 minutes. You want them cool, but not frozen. Carefully, I unfolded them and placed the sheets on a sugared (I used raw, natural sugar) cutting board. I lightly sprinkled the sugar and cinnamon on the top of the sheet and rolled it up jelly roll style. I wet my fingertip and rubbed it on the edge on the inside of the roll so it would stick closed. It was then rolled into plastic wrap and placed back in the freezer for 30 minutes so they were easier to cut.

I baked them for about 10 minutes in a preheated oven at 400 degrees F. Worth noting is that I used cookie sheets that don’t allow things to easily burn. You’ll want to be careful with the sugar on them. Remove, place on a cooling rack and enjoy!

    1. Oh, I can’t imagine…my suggestion? Eat these right out the oven and warm…they are just like a cinnamon roll and still sort of gooey. After resting and cooling, they have gotten a little crispier.

    Thanks for the recipe!

    1. Before I did these, I experimented with chocolate. My ratio was off (too much chocolate to puff pastry..I know, too much!) but I added nuts and it was great! I’m not a big raisin fan, but it would totally work!

  22. I was sitting here craving a snack – yes it’s 3am. But I think I might try this right now. I have some homemade puff pastry and I love anything with cinnamon and sugar. My original plan was to just twist the pastry and then roll it in sugar after baking. Think I’ll do half and half. Either way, my craving will be satisfied. And with your method, I can even add some chocolate chips.
